I believe this has to do with pirating. It'll force the last gen pirates to buy the new game instead if pirating it, trying it, then not buying it after the anticipation wears off. Even with the new gen games would suffer from last gen pirating if there's only a difference in graphics and minor tweeks

Where I'm scratching my head is, wasn't it reported the America is the number one country for MGS? That's why our releases dates were before our MGS brothers in the East? So why do we never get the premium package? I'm guessing if they go unsold it overwhelming it would devalueize the brand like at how I shutter when I see Ass Creed

With that logic, it should've ended with MGS1, and MGS4 wasn't the best MGS, even PeaceWalker surpassed it in my book. With Peacewalker, Kojima showed MGS could have a new take whilst keeping many of the same elements. I would like the franchise, Solid Snake, Big Boss to end with V. every other game could only have new characters with the same elements and design, hopefully not ruining the MGS name

Best game ever MGS PSX was only about 10 hours long , even shorter, so play the game first to all the people who judge games on length. Better a 5 hr Adrenelinefest and raising the bar gameplay and story than a 30 hr snoozefest
No I meant keep the old school and add new important characters to the like there to. King of fighters basically had the same rosters every year although their additions were mostly well received and became just as memorable as the original cast something that ssf2 achieved with DJ, Cammy and fei long. They might as well put all the old school characters in, all this taking out and putting is senseless for the players. MK just cannot come up with new characters that are actually appealing

LEAVE MGS1 alone. Twin snakes was OK, but the original was the best and purest experience. The raw voice acting alone was brilliant. As others on N4G stated, make a remake of MG1 or MG2 (KJPro only), heck even Snakes Revenge(indie), just let MGS live on without any changes, heck the different tones and musical cues in the Twin Snakes alone ticked me off
