I've owned all metal gear releases day 1, except for original NES which was first game I bought. Even bought snakes revenge the first day, lol. This series means a lot not just for me but for japanese developed games. It's truly sad this happened but I'm sure a huge sony or ms buyout for the ip is in the works, so waiting to see

I think a lot of people didn't really play Peace Walker and jumped straight to V. peace Walker was a perfect balance of updated MGS gameplay( although Phantom pain wins hands down in that category) and story. To fully grasp MGS V style of game, you shoulda played peace walker and gave it time, while everyone else was on it, so you could've enjoyed the awesome co op . The point was to feel like Big Boss. As with the story, I don't believe this is the end

Well said. MGS 1 best for me, V is great because it takes after Peace walker, my second best. It's truly different without all the cutscenes and snakes silence. I've skipped the side ops also, as in peace walker, I play the story out uninterrupted and play side ops later, although I dabble in extra ops
Yeah it actually makes the older titles feel as they are in a different league than other games. V actually feels like a lot of games mixed in one and a more traditional triple AAA title than how the other games felt when they came out. Maybe I feel like this because I loved the refinement to the series that peace walker gave and this is more of the same mixed with gz-red dead. It's amazing how good fox engine looks on both generations. Although the horseback riding on the 360 version takes a little getting used to at first, the game is stunning on the system regardless
It was konami who financed this game. I think both parties will benefit, so buy it new to keep the series on top.
2k improves their graphics and gameplay even when they don't have too. New features and in game scenes/presentation like interviews and what not that you would NEVER get from a company like EA. Really makes the games stand out, you know doing things that fans ask for and that simulate the presentation of real life sports

Mgsv ground zeroes does feel like MGS. For those that missed peace walker, play it. That was the turning point in MGS and an excellent turning point indeed. This will not be the last kojima MGS, and for everyone saying he's tired of it or pulled in, I don't see it as even when he's not developing MGS, he's tweeting, talking and interviewing about it with such passion.
