Yea, I think in all honesty people need to realize that more than ever, the U.S is going to be the deciding factor of who "wins" the generation. Sony is trying to do almost the impossible: separate an American company from it's fanbase that largely GREW UP on Xbox. That in itself is an extremely hard task; forget about the UK and Japan because those two markets have always loved the PS brand more than the Xbox counterpart, but the U.S is an entirely different monster.

Been a very very very long summer for Microsoft and Xbox fans, particularly in the U.S. Probably going to be a LONG generation of consoles as well. Sad....

I didn't actually; In my mind, it really deviated from the tried and true GTA formula that I love. Hopefully GTA gets back to it's roots like San Andreas...

Actually this isn't really surprising, as PC gamer piracy has really become a thorn in developers sides. Some developers are now deciding to not even make their games for PC because they already know it's going to be pirated i.e. FFXV and KH3. I expect to see more of this as developers begin to stand-up to piracy.

@Below

Sorry to burst your bubble bro, but what I said is correct. The build that they originally built KZ:SF on was based on a dev-kit that only had 4 gb of GDDR5 instead of 8. They said it themselves; you can look it up yourself. If you think a studio as talented as GG couldn't generate a game at 1080p/60fps on 8 gigabytes of the fastest graphics processing RAM on the market, then you are deluded. Frames per second and resolution are limited only by the grade of net-cod...

Yay!! You have a clock speed at 1.75 ghz compared to 1.6. Do you even know how that benefits the console or are you just talking out of your ass? Despite what you might think, a 9% increase in CPU power will not make up for a 50% difference in CU count or a 50% difference in render output pipelines that the PS4 has over the Xbone. Add that to the fact, that Xbox One is filled with bottlenecks such as the move engines, 15 core processors, it's main ram (DDR3) only moving data through less ...

Can you please show me proof of an NDA agreement involving AMD and Microsoft. I hear a lot about this NDA but I have never seen proof that it actually even exist. Could you provide that link please?

I really don't know what to say here. I mean this could be true, but I mean if it was a possibility then why is it just now being mentioned now that the dGPU rumor has been debunked? Seems incredibly convenient, doesn't it? Where was this information beforehand? I'm not disparaging the rumor, because out of all of them this is the most plausible. Yet, I can't help but see this as yet another attempt by Xbox fanatics to make the Xbox One more powerful than it is. Is it not poss...

I think it will play a huge role, but not because of superior specs or anything like that. I think it will come down to how much can people resist the better valued product that comes out a week earlier than it's more expensive counter-part. Specs will not play a role in a purchase until much later down the line, because the only people who know about the hardware disparity between the two are the hardcore Xbox, PlayStation and PC gamer. Just my opinion, I could be completely wrong.

I guess anything that starts with the name PlayStation is bound to be sold out of pre-orders. I know alot of people are saying this already, but this really is reminiscent of the Sony we all used to know, the fun and exciting Sony that dominated with the PS1 and PS2. Anybody remember that commercial they put out with Crash Bandicoot dancing outside of Nintendo HQ? I miss that Sony... Hopefully they're back.

Honestly the only reason it's not 60 fps now is because the dev kit they built it on was equipped with 4gb of GDDR5 with Sony setting the limit at 2gb of usage. This was before Sony changed the max from 4gb to 8. They confirmed that the build they showed at the reveal and E3 was only using 1.5gb of ram. Furthermore, you don't really need 60 fps for the single player experience because the pace of play for KZ's story is generally slow. 60 fps and above is it's most viable when ...

More than likely, this will mitigate extreme load times give as much of a smooth experience as possible. Just taking into consideration how massive this game is supposed to be, I'm honestly shocked than you even have the option to NOT install this to the hard-drive.

Wonderful game, full of fresh gameplay and truly innovative presentation( my favorite aspect of the game, personally). Well worth a buy and continued demonstration of how PlayStation consoles age like fine wine, because they just keep pushing amazing exclusives while my Xbox 360(soon to be sold) continues collect dust ever since I finished Gears: Judgement.

I think Sony PS4 multi-tasking and streaming are handled with a secondary chip on the main SoC, meant to avoid the restriction of resources from games. Basically, it ensure that games aren't "robbed" by apps, video streaming and other secondary functions to ensure that PlayStation gamers get the maximum performance out of their games.

I have no idea how much inflation and tax plays apart in this, but 10 consoles for an entire country is just flat out laughable. I'm a huge PlayStation fan(everybody knows this) but I'm not a loyalist. This is Sony trying to pad the number of countries they are "launching" in to +1up Microsoft. Clearly they aren't prepared for a worldwide launch of the magnitude that they intend to pander to. This can be attributed to the extremely high demand in the UK, U.S and Canada b...
