I think it was an integrity issue. Some people have a problem working in a place that fires people for doing your job, due to pissed off advertisers. I would.

I dunno about that. If selling 100,000 on ps2/gamecube/xbox was considered bad, then why is it different for the wii? Needs at least 500,000 to be considered ok, at least thats what devs say.It is true about development costs though, but if they don't start selling more games then all those hardware sales mean nothing.
I don't think its meant to be "anti-wii", I Think it just means you can't just assume that the insane sales mean that Nintendo's console is free and clear. It has a valid point.
Yeah I knew you just meant in general. You're right though, it seems that for one review that would be harsh, but then again there had to be some real money behind the ads , the way Gamespot whored itself out lol.

Ugh, it sucks how the media is controlled by advertisement. I'm a journalism student and its becoming increasingly disappointing at how obvious it is that the public is seen as a product to be sold to advertisers. It affects all types of media, even game sites that supposedly are there to help you make purchasing decisions.

OMG, the amount of K&L advertising on Gamespot is ridiculous.
While I would used to say the rivalry was all in good fun, its gotten pretty ridiculous lately.

I don't know about overtaking the DS, but you've got to admit Sony did surprisingly well at its first stab at challenging Nintendo's monopoly on the hand held market.

I'm actually re-playing through the original right now, and I remember why I loved it. The atmosphere is insanely awesome. I don't think GG totally screwed it up. I agree, the AI was not the greatest, though I still haven't notice framerate issues people seem to think break the game. The beta should be a great way for G.G. to test the AI and tweak it. The mood and gritty realism can't be beat though, and I'm hoping this doesn't disappoint.

Iron man is kick ass, so i have hope for this game,

I have only recently got into Final Fantasy, but I 'm extremely excited about XIII. XII was awesome, and I'm thinkin about playing some of the old SNES ones.
