Great point! That's awesome!!
Another free game at launch!
Pop Pop!
You could spend $50 on PS Plus (Driveclub) and have at least 7 free games to play with plus a few more for your PS3!
So for less than the price of one game you'll get:
Driveclub
3 Indie games in instant collection
DCU
Planetside 2
Warframe
All for free (+ some free with PS Plus subscription)! Yes!
I would highly recommend anyone with any doubts to listen to this podcast, it's amazing!
Ah seriously can not WAIT for KH3.
Thank you. But Journalists need to stop asking this for clicks.
If you like the way PS3 is DRM free and you can share/sell/trade games on that, then you'll like it on the PS4. Simple.
How many times do journalists have to ask? Pretty sure they made it pretty damn clear.
It's exactly the way it is with the PS3 today. Period.
No. More. Hard disk space.

I know right,
And this be bad to admit as a gamer, but I wanted to play sleeping dogs, BAM i got it free on ps plus, I wanted to play hitman absolution, BAM i got to play it free on ps plus, I really really wanted to play Ico & Shadow of the Collosus, and BAM free on ps plus as well as a fair few more including some cool indie titles.
Love the service, and if they continue it and continue to expand I'm all in!
Wow I'm seriously loving Sony's new attitude. This is what makes companies so successful.
Great to hear that there will still be a ton you can do for those that can't afford the $49 a year PS Plus like play Driveclub online, MMOs and free to plays like Planetside 2, Warframe and DC Universe.
He's right, Sony is a company and for them to be sustainable (especially with their current financial predicament) and how they're providing all the n...
Yeah, the PS3 when it first launched the largest HD size you could get was 60GB because it was so expensive and that was nearly $1000 in Australia ($599 in US)
Now 500GB hard drive is WAY cheaper to produce.
Bro, I have 4 controllers and I've never had to replace ANY of them...
Lol...
So much more annoying having to buy and buy tons of AA batteries just to play.
Plus no DRM, no always online, no restrictions.
And awesome first party studio games + multiplats to boot.
And Gaikai is coming out next year, looking forward to hearing how that actually works.
You have to remember, PS4 is built with off the shelf components, this means much lower component, manufacturing, shipping and R&D cost (which is very smart) especially in comparison to the proprietary stuff that was in the PS3.
The Xbox has Kinect 2 (proprietary) which increases their cost quite significantly so I wouldn't be quick to assume that one is making a loss over another.
I recently got PS+ and I seriously love it. Got so many free games because of it.
Pumped that I can have it across my PS3 & PS4 (and if i get a PSV) for $20 less than an xbox live gold membership.
Ah so good. PLUS - pretty pumped to download and try out all those Free to play games like Planetside 2 and also play the indie games like that Dinasour one I saw. Waiting to see more of that at E3! Anyone seen any new info on that game?
Nope! If you buy per month it's $5 a month = $60
BUT - if you buy a year's subscription you get nearly 20% off at $50 for the entire year. Which is STILL $20 cheaper (in Aus.) than an xbox live gold. So:
499 +89 = $588
399+49 = $448
PS4 + Driveclub + Vita/PS3 PS Plus free games and stuff as well + No DRM/Always Online = $140 cheaper.
Sony, thank you.
THIS IS ALL I NEEDED. OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Game over.
I seriously hope not. For gamers sake.
But, I keep wondering if we as hard-core gamers really have enough consumer power to stop DRM and always online from coming to consoles?
I really hope so, but I just don't know.
So many games! My gosh.
I remember when the PS3 & 360 launched there were like hardly any games out.
Would love another Fight Night too!
Quote from the article -
"I commend Sony for their bold move of choosing blazingly fast GDDR5 memory. It’s definitely an area where the PS4 has a leg up over PC’s for a while to come, and I’m sure Avalanche Studios will make great use of it in our huge open worlds."
Nice!
He and other sony peeps also said that nearly all the old peripherals should work with the PS4.
