I think the author misses the general point of sales, which is ultimately, the more you buy, the cheaper you get the units. Makes perfect sense from over here.

Halo DLC is over a month away.
Fallout DLC is actually about a month away now (it slipped according to Todd Howard)
and Killzone is 3 weeks away.
Tomb Raider DLC comes out next week. It's only competition is FEAR 2. I think more people will get it than you think. Especially seeing as its the calm before the storm.

Incase you hadn't noticed, the DLC craze is a profitable craze with developers and publishers to extend the life of their "premium" titles at minimum cost and maximum efficiency.
The title is totally misleading as well because everyone is doing it ... Ubisoft, Rockstar, EA, Microsoft and ... wait for it ... Sony! LittleBigPlanet is a perfect example.
Since when did MS start DLC as well? DLC has been a staple in PC gaming for longer than this author has been...

imo, although I love the Metal Gear games, I can't help but think that the writing sometimes is too convoluted.

The horde mode is a 5 player co-operative mode where 5 players take on wave after wave of computer controlled bots that get progressively harder and more hardcore. Next time do your homework ;)
