By all means wait on the 4000 series but be realistic and expect them to be unavailable everywhere at launch because they've already been scalped.
Problem is they're marketing it as an RTX card even though ray tracing performance will not be good with the card even with DLSS looking at the specs. But adding RTX will make the card sound good to consumers. I hate what marketing is allowed to get away with sometimes.

No hardware no PC gaming. This has been the worst year for PC gaming. I had to spend almost double RRP to get a not even top end card, it was either that or forget about gaming on my PC for who knows how long. That card has also gone up in price since I purchased it indicating it's not getting better.
Crap year for PC gaming, I have not known a worse one.
Far Cry 6 was crap. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. I got half way through and thought WTF am I doing here anymore. As for Guardians of the Galaxy good game overall but awful combat.

The Mad Max game has a metascore of 69 on PS4, I enjoyed the hell out of that game.
I'm a PC gamer first and foremost but NVidia and AMD don't care about us no more. They're doing very little to sort this GPU mess out. They made lite hash rate cards but miners found a way around that limitation pretty fast, but why would they care they're making so much money from their GPU's now.
