MW2 is a lot more fun when you play in the barebones playlists because there are no killstreaks. Hopefully they have that in MW3 again.

You shouldn't be able to knife if you're getting shot either. Think about it, what type of soldier in real life would have the poise to be able to pull out a knife and slash a guys throat as his flesh is being riddled with bullets? It makes no sense.

Considering infamous 2 has no where NEAR 1.5 million copies sold I don't see how "logic would dictate" that the Uncharted 3 beta would still have 1.5 million players if it required you to purchase Infamous 2.
