Its because they flood the market with it constantly. People are getting sick of Call of Duty after Black Ops and are willing to try new things.

Thanks to all the recent fan hate on Black Ops and EA and DICE confirming a MASSIVE ad campaign for Battlefield 3. Call of Duty finally might fall!
Im pretty sure they are just saying what we are all thinking. We are sick of all these trash FPS games and want something new.
DICE is an amazing company and they are actually confident enough in their product they are doing all of this without second though. I really hope what DICE does with BF3 wakes up other FPS developers.

Ummm they told us this. its running on the PC with a single GTX580 and a user on NeoGAF that went to PAX was able to confirm it. They have also shown us a HELL OF A LOT of info on how the engine works and even showed pictures of how the lighting in the PS3 version of the game works.
They have given us more than enough proof that what they showed is what we will get (on PC)

BF3 is going to be amazing. Someone on NeoGAF peaked at the machine they where running it on durring PAX. a SINGLE GTX580 guys, they have optimized the hell out of this engine.

343i just has so many great people and developers. They are a huge team and their engine designer is pretty much the best in the field so I have high faith in them.

This is being developed on PC first. If they are able to put it on 360 and PS3 they will work on that either during or after PC release. Either way this is no console port.
See this suffers from what I like to call the "Paradise effect"
Might be a good game but has a IP tacked onto it which makes me hate it.
Seriously if this was called something else I would be fine with it, if Burnout Paradise was called Need for Speed: paradise I would have been fine with that too.
I would MUCH prefer a classic style Ape Escape game done with the move.
