Sony lets their games speak for themselves. If a game is good people will tell/show their friends and the friends will buy it. They don't need massive marketing budgets to tell people they have to buy the game. Sure this isn't the way to get massive day one sales but the games have longer tails. This is why you see PS3 games stay at higher price at retail for longer than 360 games. Look at Halo Reach it took 2 months for the title to drop down to $40 new. You wont see GT5 for $4...
Night driving is awesome, especially with the fireworks going off. The tuscany challenge was really nice.
Yes and no. I see a lot of good scores and a lot of crap scores. I expect a metacritic average of 88.
Focker420 is totally right. GT5 is much better with a wheel. Ditch the triggers and get the logitech wheel, unless you have Forza then you will need the fanatec 911. Don't know why there is no logitech support on the 360. Either way get a wheel.
It does make sense that the kinect can detect hand gestures since that is what the prototype did (or did everyone forget about it reading sign language?). I think the only reason that it doesn't do it on the 360 is because it doesn't have the processing power of a PC. I remember reading about kinect using 1/3 of the 360's power which is nothing on a new PC.
I enjoyed the hell out of MAG. I probably clocked over 200 hours in it. I couldn't get the platinum though but I heard they have made it easier now. It was definitely my shooter of the year but there wasn't much else I was interested in.
Yeah, game trailers are ok to see but verison ads aren't exactly game trailers are they?
If you have come to N4g for more than a week you should be wise to these tactics. I don't give a hit.
Exactly, the ones disappointed by GT5 are the ones that haven't bought it. Everyone that has bought it seems to play it incessantly. Maybe they are disappointed that they can't play it.
@antz
You don't have to pay to play online with the PS3 with live if you don't have it you are basically getting screwed out of at least half of the game you bought.
Yeah I have been enjoying the fight also, probably my favorite move title. I read the reviews on metacritic and then went for it when I read some of the non-fanboy user reviews. It seems like the reviewers aren't even playing the move titles and if they are they don't play for long. IGN especially has a bone to pick with the move.
I enjoyed all those games but some were better than others. One of the exclusives I wanted to play that I haven't yet is 3d heros.
Before GT5 came out it was no contest; Goty = GOW3. Now though I am seriously reconsidering. It is hard because on one hand you have the most epic, game I've ever played but it only lasted about 40 hours with the multi play throughs and challenges. Then you have a game that is hundreds if not 1000's of hours long that I am loving to death. Either way GOW3 is perfection and deserves the honour.
And if they are going to surpass GT5 then they need at least 16 player online.
Didn't GT5: Prologue outsell forza 3 also?
GT5 is great it deserves some credit.
Lag.
Oh and let's not forget the GT5 will have 16 player races.
Reasons PSN is better
1) Browser so porn, free streaming of tv shows, youtube etc.
2) Dedicated servers.
3) Better games.
4) Not so many fuktards -> don't have to only have private games.
5) Free.
Every year Insomniac release a game most likely this year will be Resistance 3.
I'm just waiting for the "too much variety" deduction.
