Yeah it would be possible but at better frame rates and resolution.
Fuck it looks better than any gameplay the PS5 reveal showed as well lol
The tech demo looked better than anything Sony showed at their reveal event and let’s not forget a laptop managed the tech demo just fine without a super fast SSD, so the graphics aren’t just about the Sony’s SSD.
The SSD is great for both consoles but as far as graphics, frame rates are concerned the SX is the more powerful console and there’s no getting away from it.
Compared to RAM the SSD is slow as fuck.
£299 is the sweet spot but I can’t see them being at that price, £449 is a tough sell to the mass market so they will be overlooked.
The hardest sell will be to the mass market with the games not looking like a huge jump from the Pro or One X To temp a purchase.
Using the SSD to good effect.
If that’s the case what’s the point of upgrading, because shit will look and run better with seamless worlds, fixed hardware will always perform better, look at the last of us 2, simply incredible graphics.
That SSD isn’t going to be cheap and neither is the console design or controller with all its features, $549 would be a good estimate and with them losing money on each unit.
I believe it’s more of an opportunity given the Sony underwhelming event, one or 2 titles looked interesting, nothing made me want one other than to have something new and shiny.
Both look completely different which is a good thing, I can’t wait to actually see them in the flesh
I thought the last of us 2 looked graphically better than anything shown last night, disappointed.
Seriously is was underwhelming, it was disappointing, only one title was of any real interest and looked next gen, the rest looked like they were running on a Pro, no wow factor like the tech demo, now that was how you show case next gen.
The SX show of 3rd party games doesn’t appear so bad after seeing this, time for those first party SX games to show the Raw power gap. 😛
Underwhelming on the whole, a few highlights but disappointing considering the delays.
Would love to see a SX version at some point
The only game that was exciting and anything that looked to be at a similar level to the recent tech demo, most of the other games looked like they were running on the pro.
Pro graphics at best
The only game that really impressed me, the rest looked like Pro graphics.
Underwhelming on the whole with a few exciting moments, a long time to wait and feel slightly disappointed.
Graphics looked liked they could have Been performed on a Pro for the majority of games and definitely on a One X.
Maybe a last Gen hangover.
The console design is an acquired taste, I kind of like it and not at the same time, not a bad as the PS2 at least.
Hmm so numbers don’t matter anymore, but it’s always been the case with fixed hardware, you can always get more from optimisation, same with the SX, just more of it in that case.
Nintendo beats Sony on great exclusives all day, but not saying Sony doesn’t have some great exclusives.
MS have invested so let’s see what happens with what their studios produce.
Plus all 3rd party games will perform better on the SX.
Lots of good competition is good for the industry and for us gamers
