Fixed hardware will always have better graphics when compared to a same spec PC. Fixed hardware will always look like it has more under the hood and purpose built console exclusives prove that, just look at Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Let's face the facts, it was a weaker console that was £425, that was too much of a hard sell for anybody. I prefer the Xbox to PS4, mainly because the controller is much better. They have some good exclusives, especially on the driving front where they lead the pack, Halo is one of the best FPS this gen and Gears is probably the best cover shooter this gen. so it's not all bad.

Absolutely for scalable engines, most game engines are scalable and definitely first party, the answer has to be yes otherwise don't bother bringing out more powerful consoles.
Stupid question really, the one x is a massive leap over Xbox one and a good size jump over the pro, we should see definite improvements.
This was the best console ever for me, it created so many classic games that cemented the amazing console gaming foundation we have today.

I haven't had to much of an issue, 3 hours playing games in handheld mode is enough most of the time.
Experience and expose yourself to it as soon as possible.
