Nothing to see here. Firmware was released had some issues which only effects a small percentage. Sony responds rather quickly new firmware up in running in few days. Rinse repeat for the next go around. No problem sh!t happens.
I only buy my most anticipated games everything else I rent. $25 a month for 2 games at a time. One of my better investments I believe.
This was a great update the only problem I believe there is. Is I wish they had more games that had there patches ready to go when this was released. I know they are coming, but in away it was kind of anti climatic since we can't use this in many games. All in all great update very happy with it.

Go figure kotaku have yet to say something good about update 2.4. But they just can't wait to post negative news about it.
I wonder when a patch for trophies will become available
Now don't get me wrong I do own a Wii and I play it sometimes, but to sit there in say the announcement of another Zelda game would blow away anything anyone else has is laughable. This will be another rehash of another over used franchise. Now I'm not saying it won't be a good game because most of them are, but its like being surprised that there making another Mario just doesn't make sense.
Ya I agree completely with this. Pretty funny I never really cared about achievements, but I believe thats because I have yet to buy a 360 (which will soon be a purchase). I was able to download the patch. Then had to download the update for Super Stardust. Unfortunately had to leave for work so I did not get to play anything or try out any of the new features. Can't wait for 430 pm then it will be gaming all night. Unfortunately it's only 5 am so its one long day left lol.
This is what I said yesterday. I understand single player not being retroactive, but your online stats are directly linked to your PSN ID so there is no reason these stats should not be retroactive.
Just so you know trophies are available in the single player aspect as well not just online. So I think this does help in the time people put into the single player modes. Just look at the topics when MGS4 came out people talking about trying and trying to get the big boss emblem right there it shows you that PS3 gamers already had the beginning of there trophy whoring ways.
More dev time is always a good thing and it can always be good for a game, but I just wish developers would not set release dates so early. Why not wait till a month or 2 prior than come out with the release date. I do not mind them getting pushed back this can only insures a better product, but just quit offering up release dates so early.

Well as of right now Superstardust will have it right away. All of Sonys upcoming 1st party exclusive will have it as well. And I also believe a few that are out already. There were 10 titles that will have it. Unfortunately most have yet to be released. But Sony only talked about 1st party titles, so games like MGS4, GTA4, Battlefield bad company we do not know about. But just because they do not support them today does not mean by next week they will have a bunch of patches out.
Heres some idea's Activision
1. reduce all of your game prices to $30 then even in slow times people would be able to buy your games.
2. How about not releasing a rehash of your most popular games every 6 months to a year. Seriously GH: Aerosmith not neccisary.
3. Like post 1 stated send some money off to Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, to help with the cost of production of there consoles.

Thats pretty cool. Activision & Guitar hero could learn from these guys. Being able to play all my old downloads is great.
This is great, but they do not support bringing PS1 games to the PSN. Unless you are in Japan we only have a handful of PS1 games. So although this sounds great and would be great if true. What would leave me to believe that if this does happen after the first few montes its like the PS1 games and they all just go to Japan.

Ya much better look. I've been out of the loop for a few days. Have there been any solid dates for when patches for trophies will be released. Also are there any new games that will be coming out stating that they will be supporting trophies.
