Anyone ever think this may happen over the course of the game? I mean I don't see much changed other than the hair and clothes. I would also find solace in the idea if the new old cole is just an unlockable skin after you beat the game, and suckerpunch has been trolling the whiners all this time.
smh... the only possible way is if it's an incredibly on-rails game with a very limited command list. (Like if the player moves at all it auto-aims and shoots the enemy) In this case Rare would be right, but the game would be shit.

I think it's because game devs are generally stuck between a rock and a hard place. The publishers are (for the most part) idiots. They want perfect metecritic score and trillions of sales. And they listen to the critics who want multiplayer in everything. The devs listen to the fans, who want a lot of what you listed, but the pubs write the checks. actually the same amount of effort. My friend has a set up where his PC and PS3 is hooked up to the same TV. All he has to do is press the "input" button to switch between the two. he uses his coffee table for mousing (if he needs to) but he has a controller for his PC also.
