Last gen got a lot of remasters too, if I'm not mistaken, though most of them hit late into the generation than this time. It's cool that we're getting the very best versions of games that a lot of us haven't necessarily played yet.
So then, that probably means that the GOTY '15 contenders are:
Bloodborne
Halo 5
The Witcher 3: Wildhunt
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Batman: Arkham Knight
Would've totally had Uncharted 4 and Zelda on there, but alas...
I suppose that the summary of the dilemma can be that Nintendo is well within its right to retain possession over its IP in the virtual space; it's not an ethical problem, as they are fully entitled to what they made by law and by common sense. It is, however, an issue of the "smart" thing to do as opposed to the "right" thing to do as so many gamers conflate the two so interchangeably.
New media, and particularly social media as YouTube has almost g...
Best Buy's the best for game deals lately. That and Amazon. Sure wish I could find some Xbox Live 12-month cred for under $60 though.
Mortal Kombat X looks so tight I just wanna cry. My heart goes after your, NetherRealm.
Start with the worst and work your way up to the best if you intend on playing the entire series. FF XIII is far less painful, even fun if it's the only FF you've ever played, especially if it's your first JRPG. It was my first entry to the series and wasn't as bad in that hindsight. The battle system's spot-on and it's the best looking in the series next to what I imagine XV will look like. But save IV, VI, VII, and X if you wanna save the best for last. Like eating y...
Bloodborne's the bomb of the JRPG scene this year and holy cow, if we do get Xenoblade Chronicles X and Persona 5 this year in the states, I really won't have a life anymore.
Sure wish both PS4 and X1 could have more T1 harddrives because man do these current-gen games consoles take up a lot of space.
Can't imagine how beautiful Liara will look in 1080p.
Stealth Inc. was pretty fun, haven't played 2 yet. Might see if I have the eShop credit for it.
I'm gonna need a bigger PC for this.
Wow, this is looking impressive. If they can just focus on making this game the best fps of the year, Ubisoft might just have something on their hands.
Titanfall 2 would definitely benefit from a Halo style campaign that sells the universe as much as the multiplayer. Felt that a narrative framework was what was missing from Titanfall beyond just more and better modes. I want to know just what Titanfall is about as much as how fun it is to play. I could say the same about Destiny's world-building too.
You go get 'em Rockstar! Cheating never pays.
I sure wish that they could've included Borderlands 1 on the collection. It's not much of a "collection" with just two games, but at least the online's really good for it.
That's really cool – Bloodborne has all of the best weapons already.
Of course it'd be limited to Nintendo characters – did we really think that they'd cut all the red tape at Bandai Namco just to get Goku in? As much as I'd like to see Banjo in any decent game and despite Phil Spencer's hints, I think that folks like Isaac and, dare I say it, Waluigi have way more of a shot and have deserved a spotlight for a lot longer.
Hmm...that's kinda cool. Might bring me back after a year of retirement from the game.
Rockstar hasn't learned how to run an online service in quite some time, but at least they know how to use glitches for a laugh.
Keep going Bloodborne, you deserve it.
