Looks very good. But that's cgi cutscence stuff right there. It won't be that quality in game.
The whole thing stinks so bad I can smell it down here in Australia lol, here the game is $79.95 and the dlc scales accordingly. Our currency is comparable with the USD. For a digital only title with no overheads is just a disgrace.
Buuuuuuut. No one complained when EA and Dice did this same thing with BF3 and BF4. They set the precedent for this shit unchallenged and when I tried to mention these things at the time my then multi bubble previous account was reduced to one lik...
Erghhh. There has been more hype for this game here on n4g than nearly any other for a good number of years. Worst thing is it is undeserving of so much of it.
5 logical reasons to get off the hype train.
short story, mostly hallway, a few set pieces
little to no replay value, nothing dynamic
no multiplayer
30fps (this is a real issue)
Full AAA price
and then there's those black bars and the resolution if ...
I'll be glad when it's launched and the hype train finally stalls.
This highlights a serious lack of content. Being able to 100% a AAA full price game in one day is not a good thing.
I'm so pumped for getting to finally play MGO. When it was around in the PS2 days, I never had an ethernet adapter or lived in an area with good enough internet at the time to play anyway.
Truly ahead of it's time game mechanics wise for it's time. The base mode looks freaking epic.
Just hope there's no Kojima.net set up like MGS4 had.
12gig 1080GTX (1 gen up from the 980GTX) and 8gig 1070GTX (1 gen up from the 970GTX) built for 4k at 60FPS out of the box, you wait and see.
A range of budget cards for the resolutions in between (1440p etc.) and for maxing out every game at 1080p will be the 1060GTX/1060ti
By the end of this console gen the PC world will be so far ahead of what it was at the end of last console gen. PC was very far ahead of the PS3/360 gen but this gap will be much much bigg...
Even more completely obvious and useless "news" in the hype train, no breaks on this baby.
lol, it's like newsflash: games shop has many copies of new game about to release. I mean really. Do you guys want to hype it just that little bit further?
Don't worry I'm here.
I'm just going to let you guys have this one, hype the shit out of it I don't care, this isn't even news to be honest and shouldn't get passed. But the hype level right now due mostly to people like you lot is over 9000. So everything with 1886 in the title gets insta approved, regardless of if it's even news at all.
Can't wait till a week in and everyone realizes it's just another average game they ov...
I'm so hyped, I'm going to master all the QTE's like a boss.
No...
What they are saying is for the average noob you will get 10-12 hours. For a seasoned gamer you will probably be through with it in 8-10 hours. If you replay the game just to nab the few tid bits you missed you might get 20 hours, but you will probably skip the cut scenes the 2nd time round saving on game time. The better you are at mastering the sequences of the QTE's the faster you will power through the game.
And yes it is using 100% of the PS4, ...
mmmm only 10-12 hours and the replay sounds static as in doesn't change each playthrough.
Combine this with no multiplayer, whack FOV and the strangest resolution to hit console so far and things are not looking so hype worthy anymore.
I've watched those videos that go for over an hour and all I saw was an average hallway TPS with too much QTE's in it.
Really this game is stealing air from more deserving titles like Bloodborne. <...
Omg I'm so scared and jealous of this game, my jaw dropped so far from this video.
/s
I'm pissing myself laughing every time I read some brainless ps4 baby saying this is the best looking game on any platform, ahahahah! anyone that thinks 1920/800/30 is the best looking anything is deluded. ALso only being hours long, if they keep showing all these videos there will be no game left for you guys to play lol
I'm with you on that.
That FOV is so small and with those black bars covering so much of the screen there really isn't much of the world visible at once. That's is how the get the settings nice and high, by not showing much of the game world at once.
This is probably to save on limited system power. If it was proper HD and had a normal FOV it would run at well below 30 FPS and not be at all playable.
Just for the record I hate MS ...
XBL is right though. In the end this game is going to be a simple hallway shooter full of QTE's and set pieces that will last a little over 8 hours and have nearly no replay value.
Good graphics that is making you all mad in the head is so far the only real selling point for this game. To a seasoned PC gamer this looks mediocre, on par with most of last gens console TPS trash. Like them this game will also inhabit the bargain bin at your local EB or Game in under 3 months...
RE2 is my personal fav of the series followed by RE3. Capcom could do what Kojima is doing with MGO (from MGS3) in MGSV and make the next RE game include a multi player functioning Outbreak remake. Outbreak Remake it rhymes lol.
LOL!
XB1 hasn't got issues with just crummy memory bandwidth, it's just a crummy machine from top to bottom.
This is what happens when MS builds a bottom dollar machine using the very cheapest budget parts available at the time.
A machine that can't render modern games at 1080/60.
So much damage control here. It wasn't an artistic choice at all. the reason the game is a t 1920x800 and not full HD is the PS4 cannot handle this game at full HD. That is the only reason.
Defend sub HD all you want guys.
Nice 1920x800 image with black bars, 30 FPS is a bit of a let down, wish i was smooth at 60 like other games.

Says everything I want to say to you. So I'll save my time and let the video do the laughing at you.
