I certainly agree with him , for $3b they only acquired one studio vs MS paid $7 and acquired Zenimax that had some of the biggest studios under their umbrella.

The flaw is both Bethesda and Activision were tanking heavy , with both companies having public lawsuits .. I rather Microsoft bought them rather then Tencent or another Chinese gaming company .. lol Microsoft can make much bigger purchases they have way more spending money on hand … people be so caught up in these plastic boxes lol not knowing shit is still a business
Well it’s obvious Microsoft knows how to spend their money, it doesn’t matter how many studios are being bought at a time. The point is Sony still bought an already established studio and didn’t build them up, just for their current and future projects. The same thing can be said about Microsoft studio acquisitions, it’s not Microsoft fault that Sony doesn’t have the same purchasing power. Best believe if Sony had the money they would of jumped on the Bethesda or Activision deal.
But if you realize how much the cost to makes these days developers are skyrocketing , I doubt a lot of independent devs won’t be able to sustain. Reason why I think so many small developers are being bought out ..

They used be to called Jam Software before rebranding to Naughty Dog in 1989 , they worked on PC and even the Genesis. Naughty Dog came up with the Crash idea by themselves and was published by Universal, so again it was a studio that was acquired not built up bro. COD will continue to be multiplat it makes to much money that way , Microsoft will just replace Activision as a publisher. They kept Minecraft multiplat and all releases related to that game , what will be exclusives is any new IPS that they come up with from then on. DLC will definitely hit Microsoft consoles first for sure ,
