its not that price here in the UK pal, sadly we usually get the rough end of the deal.
Indeed. It doesn't need to be top of the line if its unique and potentially innovative. But you cant hype for months and then when you finally show your product, essentially say "not representative of actual product". Ludicrous... period.
A fact a lot won't like to admit too in all probability
Ive watched some streams of it, and it looks decent. It was the story that was drawing me in to be honest. It perhaps is the "grindy" tasks that drag it down, in terms of overall score at least.
I agree, graphics are fantastic. Very battlefront-esque, but applied to a historical setting its excellent. Its the lighting that really blows me away with anything built on the frostbite engine, just take a look at FIFA this year... Sound design in Battlefield 1 even tops the graphics in my opinion. Play with a sound bar or decent headphones... Winner.
Awesome console revision; smaller, quieter, no power brick, 4K Blu Ray and 4K Game upscaling at a fantastic price point. Really happy with mine, although standard hard drive sizes need to increase big league in both major consoles.
I would love to see an Alan Wake 2, but its wether there is a big enough audience to make it financially viable? Respect to Microsoft for having respect to allow the developer to put their money and creativeness into what they choose, rather than trying to push them to churn out any old rubbish.
Was really considering picking this up, but scores seem to be middling for the most part. I'll perhaps pick it up when it has a decent price drop
Further shows that as a business, how much their strategy has changed and improved over the last 3 years since Mattrick. Kudos to Microsoft.
Looks like they have tried to amalgamate the best attributes of the Xbox One Controller with Nintendo Heritage design attributes seen on the N64 and perhaps more so, the Gamecube controller.
Clickbait article... Xbox One is a substantially better proposition now than it was 3 years ago. This is the point that is hard to argue regardless of your platform preference. Must own? No, not in my opinion. However, is it now a Strong Competitor? Absolutely. There are numerous areas where it has a slight advantage or disadvantage over the competition, wether a person feels they "should" own said console is purely down the which features appeal to said individual.
"Look just how awesome the future of nintendo is..." Disclaimer "Not actually how its going to look". Ridiculous.
Awesome I'll pick it up when it's on sale
5 million day one, Over 20 million lifetime, almost certainly.
Can anybody attest to the fun factor of this game? I'm really curious and am considering checking it out... heard good things...
I would love to play it. However, I do not wish to support what I consider to be shady business practices and as a result I will await a standalone release. I implore others to do the same.
Its a Call of Duty title. It will sell massively. However, I don't think all of black ops 3 customer base will buy this as the demand seems to be slipping back onto the historical setting, so I expect them to lose some sales to EA and Battlefield 1, but install bases on both consoles have also increased over the last 12 months. So, the question is; will the increased install base generate enough sales to offset the game direction not following consumer demand?
Exceptional game, deserves to sell very well. The fact that you can currently get all other Gears games from the franchise thrown in for a standard AAA RRP makes it a bargain not to be missed.
Shady business practices going on here with the decision not to sell Modern Warfare Remastered separately. I hope Battlefield 1 trounces it for sales to drive the point home to Activision; Unfortunately I predict this is unlikely. Its likely Modern Warfare Remastered will be released separately a few months down the line.
I agree that 5 hours of decent quality is better than 10 hours of garbage, but surely developers can capitalise on that mindset by saving time and money producing a shorter campaign and using precisely that line of defence?
Also have to disagree regarding the quality of Battlefield 1 campaign, I personally felt it was the most immersive war game I have played since probably COD 4: Modern Warfare. My only criticism would be the campaign length, which takes me back to the po...
