it's all free and if you become famous then you can get revenue from ads and subscriptions. There are people that make a living from that alone... Just playing games like 3-4 hours a day everyday and that is it. is not that I have no friends but all they play these days it's Call of Duty all day, all year. I remember I used to play Uncharted and stuff with them but not anymore... very good question. What I think is that PS4's APIs have an equivalent or something to the library provided by DX11. But even then, it makes no sense... They could simply downscale it and that is it.
At the end they probably want to make it a next-gen game and the Wii U hardware will not be able to handle it from a raw power perspective.

both consoles share the same architecture and brand of components which mean that they will use the resources almost the same way, and the thing is that the PS4 has better GPU and Ram.
