Gaikai is a streaming service. Just think Netflix but instead of movies it streams games. If you have no internet then it can't work.
The only problem Gaikai has is latency. Most 30 frames games already have 150ms of latency and to that ad the latency of your own connection and what you have is a mess. I only have a 5MB connection with 140ms ping + 100ms of latency from the controller and that's unplayable to me.
Why were the developers of Crysis asking for 16GB of ram then if they would never be able to use it all?
I hate podcasts.
and probably Japan only too. ;(
PS3 wasn't $600 because of BC, it was at that price because of Cell's incredibly high R&D and the relatively new blue-ray drive that for the time were being sold for $1,000. And at the end of the day they could have offered 2 models: 1 with BC and another 1 without it, so that's no excuse. But I bet that what they want are the idiots that will pay for the re-releases through Gaikai and HD remaster in 1080p/60fps.
There are many people that will jump ship from ...
you know that sooner or later we'll get collections on the PS4 like: Uncharted Trilogy in 1080p/60FPS and the fanboys will be all over it even though they might start to criticizing them now or say that they don't need BC because they will keep their PS3s. So don't make fun of the crap you'll be eating later on.
And BTW, BC is that you can play your old games on the new console, not that they will re-sell us the games we already have through Gaikai streaming. ...
for the fanboys it will not matter, that's for sure. But for normal people that loves to play games and newcomers to the brand BC is always an advantage because you only have 1 console to play many more games.
But now if I want to play Beyond and GT6 or the gazillion of digital games I have on the PS3 I have to keep it. And if I want a Wii U or other consoles then I'll somehow need to make space for all of them.
since I still love and play Snes and PS1 JRPGs then I don't care because graphic wise I'm not expecting high production values. The important thing is that the game's good, and it has the potential of being good due to the fact of the people behind the project.
PS4 version will come later.
you want an XB1 because you are a fanboy and hate to be wrong on your assumptions. The only thing XB has over PS is maybe Halo if you're into that and nothing more. At the end of the day the PS4 has way faster Ram, much better GPU and will end up having way more exclusives games like it happened with the PS1, PS2 and even PS3, which is the only last gen console still getting exclusive games as well as multiplats. Stay asshurt.
if the entire company went down even more people would lose their jobs, so your conclusion is quite retarded and nonsensical.
This is what it's believed that developers could achieve in the future with good use of the esRam: 133GB/s
This is theoretical peak: 192GB/s
This is is reality: 102GB/s
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
The good thing about the PS4 is that 176GB/s is what developers get by default. They don't need to ...
and I thought the Sony fanboys of N4G were delusional... My goodness. lol
those are spin offs.
who knows what's traditional or not about FFXV... The only thing sure and confirmed by Nomura is that it will have "traditional elements" from the old games, and those are stuff like: a world map and airships. But to say that the only untraditional thing in the game is the combat is just a premature conclusion from your part.
and here we have yet another article from an apologist fanboy in denial. -__-
they are different mediums. Movies are limited to 3 hours at most. Books require you to use your imagination. With games is like one epic journey that it is as long as the developers want it to be, they create situations that make the gameplay itself be more exciting and stuff.
You Nintendo fanboys are as closed minded as Nintendo itself and that's why they are in the position they are now. They just got lucky with the Wii and that's how it is, give me disagrees and c...
Godlike
All new 2D anime fighters should be full 3D cel-shaded like this instead of sprites. I used to be a fan of sprites but this is sooo much more superior! It looks just like sprites but incredibly much more flexible.
Just look at that seamless intro: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
if they can't even reach 60 frames on a next-gen racing game then it would only be logical to be extremely skeptical about its quality. Especially when we have 1080p/60fps GT6 on PS3 and this point is mentioned by the author of this article too.
yeah, why change something that is clearly working just to satisfy a few? I don't play nor care about COD though, I just wanted to put that out there.
