Full install is a feature that should and and probably will come to PS3. It is very much possible. Microsoft has already successfully made this feature available to Xbox 360 owners, so I don't see any problem with it. It certainly does NOT violate any licencing agreements since you still need a disk to start the game.
I keep wanting to play my brother online (I have 2 PS3s in my house) in Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2. But I can't because I only have one copy of the disk! :(
I either have to rent an extra copy of the game I already own or wait for this feature on the PS3. If only I can just start the game with the disk and put the disk in the other PS3, that would be enough. How hard could it be to add this feature?
I know some of you may disagree but but I think damage adds a more immersive experience to the game. Yes, the point is not to crash, but damage adds more to the game. The danger of crashing or damaging your car are real risks in the racing world. Damage is a feature that will add more intensity as any wrong turn can be more punishing. But it will also add a greater sense of reward, knowing that you are untouchable on the track!

Microsoft's rebate is not atypical compared to others. I always try to avoid buying items that require me to send a rebate.
Rebates are used by companies to make an item seem cheaper. But those companies are always hoping that you would not use them because they are always such a pain. You often have to fill out so many things and cut stuff out of boxes and mail stuff in and make copies of all the things you send in, because in several weeks, you might forget what you sent the...
