That's exactly why I went out of my way to look at the leaks, because I wanted to see if it was as bad as people were saying. Well, it's worse so I've definitely saved myself some money, which I can now put towards Ghost of Tsushima instead.
I played through Last of Us Remastered not long ago and the gameplay drove me insane. Maybe it was just me, but I really struggled to control Joel. He was always starting and stopping, I couldn't get a fckking handle on it. I really enjoyed the story, and it's what drove me to finish the game. But the gameplay itself was my least favourite part of the game.
I know you need Plus/Gold in order to play with other people. This new update adds npcs/quests, they could have removed the paywall requirement JUST for the Wastelanders mode. Plenty of other online-only games let you play solo without the paywall.

It might be a free update but you still need either PS Plus or XB Live Gold in order to play it. So f*** them.

Bubsy 3D was another one. The 2D platformers on Genesis/SNES were far from perfect but still pretty good.
