Sorry, but no. This game is not a 5 out 10, just a straight up hit baiting review or clearly written as an opinion. Not being a fanboy or any of that shit, but 5/10 is for games like Aliens Colonial Marines, that are ugly, un-playable at times and so on. God of War: A is none of that. This is why reviews from around the net are so fucked up.

Oh I know, I saw the ant infection videos etc. Just kinda the same concept of survival etc which is more to what I was pointing to. Sure as hell hope that fungi never causes what's in The Last of Us hahaha.

I cannot wait for this game. The infected gameplay footage we saw a couple weeks back looked better than most horror games as of recent.

I never once said I was ok with the things these companies do, but I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it all the time and coming online just to join the crowd and say "Fuck EA".

If your going to review a game based on your opinion, then your writing a personal blog. If you're reviewing based on the quality of a game for the consumer standpoint, then your writing on a site like CVG.
You compare the quality of the games, not whether you liked this one or not.

Certainly true, I meant mostly the people bitching online about it who KNEW it wouldn't work on day one, yet still bought it and then cry "FUCK EA" all day long lol.
And of course we get the people who say "we told you so", but bought the game anyways just to complain, smh. I don't feel sorry for anyone who bought the game day one and can't get it to work. It's a common thing for games like this to have problems day one, especially if it's all based on inter-connectivity.

Yea that's the problem. As a reviewer, I don't look at the game and review it based on my opinion. I don't care if it's more of the same, if it's a quality game, it's a quality game. Goes for CoD, AC, whatever. Some of my own opinion is intermixed in the review, but it's just in the writing of a gamer, my final score is never based on whether I'm sick of playing this game or not. Games shouldn't be marked down if it's more of the same. Honestly, if the quality of the game is up there, and it's fun it should recieve a good score. 7.5/8 is what I expected for this game, but being more of the same as a negative shouldn't be a reason to down play a game.
Doubt this is true. The game only released two months ago, way too early to say it sold horribly.
Like I said above, these reviews must be merely based on the opinion of the author, and not the actual quality of the game. Which I wouldn't care if this was a personal blog review, that's fine. But if you're going to post it here, on N4G, it's for hits and misleads viewers/readers whatever into thinking this isn't a quality game when it sure as hell doesn't deserve a 5/10.
