At long last, it’s about time they upgraded it !
I didn’t like hellblade 2 at all, which lost all its mystery and originality in this graphically superb but extremely boring sequel. But I loved the first one. And I was pretty annoyed it was stuck on ps4 version on ps5. Bugs and didn’t run that well.
Now I’m going to play it all over again !!! In its nicest version on PlayStation.
I loved the first game on one x. Original, intriguing, beautiful and addictive.
When I launched the sequel with excitement, well … I had to give up pretty quickly as it is badly written, badly paced, extremely limited and repetitive (some of the cons form the first game but multiplied). How can this be less entertaining than the first one, though visually impressive. I had the feeling I was playing an empty UE5 demo for hours … boring as hell (and I usually love « boring...
Oh. That’s smart ! I haven’t thought of this !
I wasn’t impressed by the trailers. I wasn’t hyped.
I played the demo. Entirely.
I preordered the game.
The end.
as good as the game can be, I couldn't care less about starfield. And pretty much any of the first party games xbox series so far. I loved Hifi Rush, I feel alone.... hahah. I don"t know if I'll wait HellBlade 2 ( I liked the first one very much, but not a killer app) before selling my console.
Now the real PS5 games are gonna appear, hopefully.
I guess they hated the last Forza Horizon too then ….
Ridge Racer … RIIIDGE RACER !
Now I just hope Sony is about to launch a true ps5 upgrade on this game with updated graphics and dual sense features. To at least be on par with this PC version.
I have both consoles and I can’t agree with this result. Gampepass is an excellent service. But it doesn’t make Xbox series X the best console. It is a luxury jukebox but fails to impress as a next gen console with bed exciting features and hasn’t shown any glimpse of a next gen game (until FH5 comes, and I’m so hyped for it). Whereas PS5 came with a new fantastic controller, with a totally fun and exciting free game (Astrobot), and some fantastic next gen games came out. Not a lot but better...
Well the game was already a big disappointment for me on Xbox at almost every level. They put too much emphasis on it since it’s first reveal. Seems the developer didn’t really had time or care to optimise the copy on ps5, as it is not a question of machine power. At least they implemented DS features.
Also there’s no additional fee in Xbox on game pass to try it… if you’re curious …
Are you talking about astrobot ? You should give it a try again for sure. Of course, it depends how the developer uses that feature cleverly. But Once all these haptic and trigger feedbacks are on, hard not to miss them when not implemented in other games. Shooting with different weapons in Ratchet is amazing. About that same feeling we used to have with arcade shooting games !
Again ? Okay. Whatever. Hahaha. I’m very happy Xbox has some light at all. But I’m not worried about PlayStation that sure take their time but I’m pretty confident they’re going to be just fine. I’ve got both systems. I’m pretty happy with them. Enjoying 12 minutes while going back to GoTsushima in it’s better version. So many games to finish for years that I’m ok with the wait with new games ! Hahaha
I didn’t like the game on Xbox. I won’t either with haptic. But if I had a choice I would have chosen the dual sense version for sure.
At least I played it on Xbox pass… cheaper.
Very disappointing game. Some good ideas, but overall a boring walking -almost point and click-ish- adventure. Story isn’t well told at all. They marketed it the wrong way, and they made us thought it was unbelievable next gen graphics in the first trailer… I didn’t like the main playable character.
Honest game but I would have been even more disappointed if I paid it full price outside of Gampass. Although it still had a certain charm.
It is just a communication problem. The fact they do this is perfectly understandable. The fact they half criticised what Xbox is doing is the problem. They said they were going to deliver on PS4 for at least 2 years with great cross platform games. That also delivered with exclusives like Returnal, astrobot demon souls or Ratchet, games properly experienced only on PS5. Everything could be nice if they just didn’t put so much emphasis on this “we believe in generations”.
They just...
That’s the question I’m asking myself almost everyday ! I can be really patient for next gen games to come. But I would be more than delighted to see graphical upgrades and performances on my older beloved games, to add more of this fantastic cinematic next Gen look to these already stunning games.
I had every Xbox except the first one, but you are right. I’m new again every time.
And I never understood Xbox UI. And I sold my Xbox one X a long time ago before the last update. I thought it would be better and easier to use. Definitely not made for me.
I still like my Xbox series X Very much. Wonderful high quality games jukebox. So much nostalgia from the list of the game pass games available. And I purchased Conker Reloaded again ! What a gem !
I agree. I play with the series X for a week now , and I hate the UI. Ugly and overly complicated. I have not much complaint with the games and the overall fluidity, but really not a pleasure to use. At least Game pass is a blast, and it’s so quiet and cool to browse all these games I their superb rendition.
I wonder what Nintendo thinks about this damage control from Microsoft. Are Nintendo exclusive games antiquated ?
