umd is dead as a movie format...blu ray is not needed to kill it.
I used my diamond card constantly people are just stupid and didn't check the site for its deals, I've been a memeber since it started and have used it on every thing from food, to electronics and xbox 360 accessories.

why would either company HAVE to impliment blu ray in the next gen systems because blu ray won?
Ninty could easily create a new hybrid format like they did for the game cube, and so could microsoft.
There have been many hybrid formats and many formats used when others we're available, CARTRIDGE, UMD, Minidisc, GCD...ect
Just because blu ray wins does not mean either company HAS to use the format in the next generation, I mean so many fanboys like to think...

blu ray camp will be in a mad dash to either absorb hddvd and make a unified format to belay consumer concerns and confuse or totally burry under hd dvd.
I pick choice A because its less expensive then choice b.
So expect the worked on yet unnanounced dual format *they've been working on it for a long long time incase of this outcome* to be announced and cheaper dual format players to come out.
howard stinger extended and olive branch, hd dvd will stay around long enough for blu ray camp and hd dvd camp to become one and release a truely working and better dual format, and dual players will begin to lower in price.
they break easy, cost way to much, and are uncomfortable as hell.

something like 1-2 million people signed up within what 3 weeks? no one can predict that and they we're caught unprepared last i checked other companies we're caught unprepared too when alot of people logged onto play one game.

just like -R and +r hurt DVD disc sales till both formats pretty much became one.
Which will happen here, hd dvd will keep alive for long enough for the dual format to happen and players capable of playing both formats regardless are released, which is when I will pounce and buy an hd dvd stand alone or addon for the 360.
Since I all ready own an ps3 but dont use it for blu ray (dont own an single blu ray)

got any thing less then a 2 gig card? your out of luck. lol and its not any blu ray its only select movies where they are willing to put an extra bit of data on the disc just for a resolution sized version of the movie lol
