Im using vista on my latop and its fine, it runs great and just like windows 95, windows 98, windows xp and windows 2000 once u turn off all the crap and turn on the stuff that needs turning on (which on vista wasn't near as much crap needing turned off and crap turned on as earlier OS's so thats a step foward) once i did that the system runs fast and great.
First service pack will make it run faster and better and people will like it.

Wrong tfur its 1.2 and 1.3 not 1.0, the 1.2 spec for hdmi is capable of passthrough UPCM 5.1 and 7.1....it doesn't matter if the ps3 uses the 1.3 spec that allows for use of the UPCM the sound system has to support it regardless of full support or just passthrough.
1.2 spec allows for passthrough and decoding by the sound system it self, just like 1.3 still needs a sound system capable of UPCM 5.1 or 7.1

I can gladly say i own no blu ray or hd dvd movies that I watch, I own 2 hd dvd combo discs because the DVD side came with extras and such that wasn't on the original release, but the hd dvd side hasn't been played once, and i own ...
