The immediate seems that way but in the long term, if this becomes the excepted way, gamers will lose material in a deal that should be money for material and it will be accepted. They keep 100% of what you buy from them. It's smart really, but not so smart to support it.
no neither is any other of it's kind. It's the old KC shuffle: give you stuff to make you feel like you are getting something, when in actuality you are being long conned into thinking live service is actually worth it. Then when the Scarlet shit comes out with no disk tray, every one won't mind as much that you are paying double for an internet connection and a bunch of free to play internet games that are loaded to the gill with MTs.

Devil 4 hahahah they put a Mega-man arm in it...I love B rated stuff, but I don't expect it in a 60 usd game. Devil 4 is masquerading as a complete A level experience, when in reality it was made for MTs from the ground up, even the begging for gamers to spend money on MTs cheapen the experience.
As a life long RES. E fan, I was super hyped for this, but now I am just waiting to see how they are going to stuff MTs into the game.
