Yes, I agree, when it comes to an offline, complete, game. In this case devs do owe a complete game, which has become rare these days. If they are not working off of grants and donations, even then they would still owe a finished product to whoever funded them, which once again most do not even deliver a finished product. If a dev made a game completely out of pocket, no kickstarter, no patreon etc. The you are correct, they would not owe a gamer anything.

Not sure this is a new phenom. Nes had a mature poker game back in the day. I mean it wasn't jiggly but the pixels were there. And there was a sick game called Chiller.
I enjoy the grind in this one from time to time. POE has turned out to be one of the best F2P games and it has even surpassed Diablo in my opinion.

The hate mail etc people are abhorrent, but they are a very small percentage being used to smoke screen the fact that they do owe finished products and owe services if the game is a live-service.
