I think that he would bring some great things to the western markets and vis versa. I don't think Kojima needs to stop doing what he's doing but he definitely, like we all would, benefit from looking at every point of view and consider what is working in each market. How bada** would it be to get a game that combines the best of both world. I'd be interested to see what crazy hybrid he would come up with.
agreed!
...the good thing about truth and reality is they work both ways.
360's install base is twice the PS3 in US.
Got it.
Here is a graph of the NPD numbers provided by wiki. From PS3's launch, please point out the narrowing gap. Since these are US only. It isn't a worldwide scope the numbers are not clear but that was my point. There isn't anything OBVIOUS about the gap between the two consoles. An 'opinion' that the author of this article was presenting as 'fact'. So I respectful disagree with your statement 'So according to the official numbers so far "Sony closing the gap" is 100% accurate.' ...
,,,you are suggesting that 360 sales numbers are artificially inflated due to RROD. Got it.
Quoting the author of the article:
"Depending on the source you use, Sony has sold between 18 and 20 million PS3s and Microsoft has sold between 26 and 28 million 360s. Now, we won't bother to show the obvious closing of the gap in the past two years; we'd rather stick to the point:"
Wait a minute, I thought the 'fact vs opinion' thing was the point. If the author is crying foul about the use of irrelevant statistics to present opinion as fact, why won't h...
For the one billionth time, *takes a deep breath*:
PS3 is not troubled, failing, suffering, treading water, floundering, down-spiraling, disappointing, bombing, botched, breaking down, bungling, busted, collapsing, decaying, declining, defeated, deficient, deteriorating, downfalling, false stepping, flashing in the pan, flopping, imploding, inadequate, a lead balloon, a lemon, losing, lost, a mess, a misadventure, misstepping, nonperforming, a non success, rupturing, sinking, a t...
A quote from the article 'The Beginner's Guide to Being a Fanboy: Part 2' posted here at N4G:

QUOTE:
"At least Microsoft has one thing over Sony - they (the fanboys) sometimes know when to shut the hell up."
Reading all these posts in here and watching Sony fans scream foul because a Xbox site previews KZ2 (how dare they). I don't unders...

...or it could a group of real gamers that appreciate quality games no matter what you play it on. A concept, I'm afraid falls on deaf ears far too often on this site. :(
to the phantom disagrees:
I respect that you disagree and probably your opinion on the matter if you had provided one. :|
was all that really necessary?
"But for a first impression - wow. Halo ODST has a lot to live up to."
Ahhhh, that was a pleasant and refreshing surprise!
I'm looking forward to both ODST and KZ2.
Must continue dust off old posts and paste them in here to debunk spin. Here I go again:
Massahud I posted this about 3 weeks ago but I customized it here just for you:
People continue to post these passive aggressive remarks to point out the whole 360/PC not console exclusive BS, but let us be honest here. The gaming community as a whole, DEEP DOWN, doesn't really care when something goes from a console to the PC and by and large, don't consider it a real loss of e...
The hype is sooo big with this game. It is undeniably a gorgeous game, but I think as it was with Halo 3, you won't be able you question anything about until years later. I think I would have one bubble by now if I criticized anything about Halo like this a year or so ago. :) With KZ2, the question will be the AI and gameplay. If they got this as solid as others then LOOK OUT! There is a Mack truck coming down the pike and it's plates read (Killzone 2). LOL!
Bubbles for the ...
I agree (see comment 15 above)
