New IP. I'd love to see their take on old literature like Robin Hood or Zorro, or maybe the 3 Musketeers.

Framerate in a game running on a closed architecture is a DESIGN choice by developers. It has absolutely nothing to do with the console itself. There's no such thing as "60fps by hardware default" when it comes to consoles. Developers will either design their games to have it or they wont.

They managed it on PS2 and PS3.

@IRetrouk

I'm sure that's what they are aiming for. It's clear to me now that GT Sport was simply meant as a stop gap between GT6 and GT7. I don't think we're going to get a GT Sport 2, 3, etc. It will all be incorporated into the next numerical GT.

Wouldn't it be nice if when GT7 does come out, it allows us to carry our GT Sport progress over with us, along with our garages?

Want new tracks Polyphony. Particularly new city/scenic tracks. Circuit tacks are so boring to look at.

1. Run quiet!
2. A snappy, lag free UI
3. A cleaner, more intuitive store
4. Fully customizable wallpapers/themes
5. Music CD compatible (why this was removed from PS4 I'll never know).
6. Full disk-based BC of PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 titles (yeah I know its a pipe dream).

Wow. Over a thousand years ago and it's still too soon.

New IP. I never thought Perfect Dark was all that great to begin with.

When your 3rd party support is as dearth as Nintendo's is, they sure as hell need to try. I don't expect a new AAA game every month. But every quarter, yeah I kind of do. When your 3rd party support is lacking compared to the competition, you have to try and make up for it by being more prolific with your 1st party offerings. It shouldn't be so hard now that Nintendo's not developing for two separate devices anymore (hand held and console). However the biggest crime is Ni...

Honestly rainslacker, I am so beyond sick of the tech discussions because 99% of the people discussing it do not have the first clue as to what they are talking about. They are simply mimicking what they've heard some YouTube personality or some random fanboys in their own echo chambers that fit their narrative have said. Either that or they dissect extreme out of context soundbites from the real experts and freaking run with it. Everyone wants to be an armchair developer. Me, I pers...

Why in hell would anyone buy any of those Old 3rd party "Functioning Editions" when they can get way better versions on PS4/X1?

2096d ago 8 agree10 disagreeView comment

Here's the problem. People need to stop looking at consoles the same way they look at PC's. On console, framerate is not hardware driven. You cannot "brute force" your way to 60fps on console the way you can on PC because consoles are not modular. You can't go on Newegg and buy a more powerful graphics chip to put into your PS5 or XSX. On closed architectures like consoles, framerate is a CREATIVE choice made by the developer. So no matter how beefy the PS5 and XSX...

God, he's still in so much denial about his own game.

Glad to see even more affirmation from the dev community regarding the importance of PS5's SSD. But I'm ready to end all the tech-talk. It's time to start focusing on software!

No, I don't want a ton of graphical setting options on console. Just make it strictly an "either/or" proposition. 30fps/more detail and 60fps/less detail. The funny thing about it is I have a PS4 Pro and on the games where it gives you the choice of 30fps/more detail or 60fps/less detail (ie, God of War, Infamous Second Son, Shadow of the Colossus, etc) I can honestly say the difference visually is NOT that big. In fact it's so small, you'd almost be foolish to even ...

Oh they comprehend it. They just choose to ignore it because that doesn't fit their narrative of the PS5 being a "weak and incapable" console. SMH. I absolutely cannot wait for games to start being shown, so fanboys can realize how dumb and pointless all this chest-puffing has really been.

I don't typically go for themed consoles but I really like the understated design of this. I imagine these won't last long on "shelves".

Question, does anyone EVER decide to buy or not buy a game based on file size? I just always find it funny that file sizes are somehow news worthy. I've never once even concerned myself with this. If you want to play a game badly enough, you make it work. Surely everybody has games on their hard drive they no longer play and can make room.

I absolutely believe this is happening.
