LOL!!
Turn based mechanics were originally introduced due to limitations of hardware. While they still possess a certain level of charm, I just don't think I could ever go back to them after enjoying so many real-time combat systems. If you still enjoy that kind of gameplay, more power to you. However for me, the "toothpaste is out of the tube" now with real time gameplay. I just can't go back to turn-based. It feels too archaic.
This can't possibly be true! Naughty Dog just makes interactive movies, right? (Rolls eyes)
Google was absolutely stupid for expecting us to pay for a monthly subscription on top of havng to outright purchase the games. All for the "privilege" of streaming them as opposed to playing them natively. I cannot believe that concept ever made it past the board room. That would be like Spotify expecting subscribers to purchase the individual songs on top of the subscription.
It won't be 450. It will either be 499.99 or 399.99. Trust me, marketing teams have done their research on this and what they always find is the in between price of 449.99 does not track well with consumers. That's also why you rarely ever see 50.00 price drops on consoles. They are usually done in 100.00 increments.
This is how I feel about most 3rd party multiplat games. That's why I mostly play console exclusives. They just always seem to be better quality. Now of course there ARE exceptions like Witcher 3, Doom Eternal, Red Dead 2, Jedi Fallen Order, etc but by and large it's true.
Did you seriously just try to justify SOT's boring game loop by pointing out the existence of another boring game? Wow.
Is fun included in the update?
After seeing this along with Ghost of Tsushima, I dont want to hear another word about a teraflop ever again!
@russo121
699.99 would be utter commercial suicide.
To the author,
2 weeks ago called and it wants it's article back. We are way past this now. The game is going to be fantastic. It's going to get critically acclaimed, it's going to be a GOTY contender, and it's going to sell zillions and there's not a damn thing any naysayer can do about it.
And yet if they were on the Xbox controller you would be singing it's praises. But since they're not, you would rather downplay them to make yourself feel better about your preferred console.
It won't be 550.00. 499.99 will be the max.
@itsmebryan,
That's fine. However that has absolutely nothing to do with what you asked. You said "Sony has shown nothing and the Sony fans are fine with that. I don't get it." I'm simply explaining to you WHY we are "fine with that." You are clearly not a Sony fan so this obviously doesn't apply to you. As for those of us who ARE fans of PlayStation, we have enjoyed 4 straight generations of PlayStation and we see no reason to b...
LOL @ the disagrees. As if what I said was not true.
Because we know they're coming. After 30 years in the business and 4 consoles chock full of great games, they've earned that level of trust.
This is cool but I'm only interested if these received the same "TLC" that Zelda Windwaker got on the Wii U. If this is just a rush job port, they can keep it.
@rainslacker
Exactly! Change the name from Zelda to "Bob's Adventure" and see how quickly the review scores drop.
Clearly you don't play Naughty Dog games.
Oh get over it!
Yes it probably has more to do with industry pressure and the fact that Sony feels it's bad timing now because it won't garner maximum attention from the public and the media due to what is going on. They don't want to "compete" with the public mind share and media coverage of these events right now. If I were in charge of PlayStation, I would have done the exact same thing, for the exact same reasons. When you're running a business...
