Well, i understand your wariness, but i think we have been looking at this from a very simple perspective. A lot of people think of this as a some sort of add-on like thing like it was in Endwar, but i think they are using this to free-up room for different things.
Usually, you'd have to open up the command wheel, their is a whole button for that, but now they have freed up that button to do something else.
But that is just what i think.
I think people here are drastically underestimating what it takes to make a complete speech recognition system that self corrects for differences in in speech patterns and pronunciation. All of that is built into the software the the Kinect.
It's not just a list of commands that may or may not be recognized do to your own way of speaking.
