You actually need 8gb to play Spartan Ops. This is only because it is all DLC and not actually on the disc. The first season is free, and has about 50 episodes.

Estimations are just math for people that don't know how to carry a 1. Rumors are stories that people "hear", but are not able or unwilling to produce a credible source.
