This is my opinion on Lair.. If you look in my history you will see that i've always been exited about this game and I still think I'm going to like this game very much...
I won't deny that reviews have been a bit unstable, it's apparent that the game is not going to have the reviews many of us expected.

I disagree with movies based on comics suck.
They aren't oscar movies, but they can be good and entertaining. Movies based on video games, NOW those are really bad..
SpiderMan 1 and 2 were good.. entertaining, great summer movies.
V for Vendetta was very interesting great plot IMO.
Men in black 1 and 2 also entertaining and funny.
Sin city - very original nice visuals IMO
300 - not the best movie, but stunning visuals and very entert...

Nice to know Killzone is shaping up to be what we expected.. I wish this game gets 9 to 10's reviews... Guerrilla deserves it after so much criticizing they got from KZ1 and 2005 E3 trailer..
They will increase in september despite Bioshock and HALO3, they will decrease in October IMO, but will remain good sales.
In november they will increase again all the way up to christmas.. No matter what the 360 brings, the PS3 owners and future buyers are waiting for this year games...
Lair, HS, Uncharted, R&C, Haze and UT3 are more than enough to move consoles in what's left of this year..

You're right, there's no excuse if the games were both reviewed by the same logic..
The thing is Bioshock was reviewed as a single player game without taking points from the lack of multiplayer. They just gave Bioshock the reviews it deserved as a great single player game. period.
Lair should be reviewed the same.
So the "there is no excuse." does not fit too well in this situation.
