I too an anticipating a Home update, there hasn't been any major upgrade since the launch of the Open beta.
But, it will see be in beta. They say it will go out of Beta when it represents final quality and it is a long way from that.
Clearly the PS3. A PS3 at the same price of an Elite is crazy anyway. Free online, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Blu-ray packed in a PS3 for the same price!
Also says all-in-one card reader which would be a first.
They say Sony always release slim versions of their consoles but not this quick.
The PS2 did it four years after release and this is three. Still, Sony needs this because look where they are.
Although it is clearly a way of dampening the effect of a PS3 price cut, it is not such a big deal since the only differences between pro and elite are 60GB bigger HDD and it's black.
At least with a PS3 you can easily upgrade the HDD with a standard 2.5" laptop one and for any size.

Still, enough time to announce a slim ps3 and/or price cut plus some other things.
But PSLS used their own sources too.
There is guaranteed to be disappointment as there is with every Sony conference that something rumoured was not announced. But then there will probably be unrumoured stuff that DOES get announced.

Ok, their conference was better than E3 08 but still lagged way behind their competitors.
Im all for not raising prices but Modern Warefare 2 will be a great game and people will still buy it nevertheless. Even people who sign the petition.
If you listen to say the IGN podcasts you will know the actual conference bit is NOT three hours. That is how long their slot is.

I think the European one suffers the most from lag. I mean my PS3 crashed today on Home, and it has done that a few times recently.
