Ye i can understand that, but if they didnt then people will be like "why should i buy that, i dont know anything that is coming out for it that i like", sony is just showing them what is on the way if they buy the console now. Try and persuade them to their side lol.
I mean, if i bought a 360 for xmas, looked at what is coming next year to ps3 and 360, who would win?

Just because they actually had news lol.
They could easily just release a GOW3 gameplay trailer or MAG gameplay trailer, or any other news on any upcoming games really like R2 news or LBP news (heard they have something big to still announce) or Infamous, or Killzone2. So many really, they can just announce a date for a demo or beta, or release new previews and details.
Plus they are developing un-announced games....
Nope actually, they only seemed like they "whored" announcements out because they had more than like 1, and more at Liepzig, and still has some games etc they still havent uncovered.
lol they have like hardly no exclusive 2009 games (that we know of)

18GB is not fine at all.
I have about 10 tv series on my comp, i have a few seasons of each, each season takes up on average 7gb.
Ive got about 100gb left, 18gb for a single game is just not acceptable at all, especially since most averaged priced computers people buy today have about 160gb - 200gb hdd.
lol not to mention whats on the way like killzone 2, heavey rain, infamous or RE5 !
Basically, most games now look as good as, or better than GeoW 2, i think people are just trying to hold onto the fact GeoW 1 looked so good compared to what was out at the time but now its sequel just doesnt stand out at all graphics wise (when compared to the above games mentioned)
My point is that i bought my PC for about £480 about 2 1/2 years ago, i then upgraded it with memory and new graphics card about 1 year after i had it.
Most new games coming out it will run - on low settings making the games look crap and low framerates.
I bought my PS3 for futre proof, that i do not need to constantly upgrade my comp specs every 2 years and spend hundreds just so it will play the latest games the way they were meant to be played (not on minimal...
Every1 finds it so hard to believe R2 cant look better than Gears, well how do they know, they havent seen any of the latest/final build for R2 or Gears for that fact.
But in my opinion, Gears 2 graphics have already been passed by previous games on both platforms (from what we have seen so far)
As for R2 graphics, i think its difficult to have great looking graphics for such huge environments, probably almost like a sandbox as some levels will be huge for the bosses...
So glad i got a ps3, i got it for this very reason, those specs are ridiculous! Obv not the highest out, but it goes to show how powerful the 360 and ps3 are to run these kind of games without these specs, and the graphics aren't that much better on PC, unless you have it on the highest settings.
Next time someone complains about a 5gb install on ps3, look at it's PC counterpart...18GB's !!!!!
ye im trying to convince people the huge changes R2 has from R1, like the cutscenes and story instead of that woman narrating, huge online modes and just all round better game.
One of the main things i didn't like about R1 was the music! it was really boring and got repetative, music can really make something you play twice as good and exciting or it can make it just boring, even if what your playing is great.
Thats 1 thing i hope they improve on
MGO isnt on the PSN remember, its Konami's own servers (which is why its quite sh*t).
I rekon LBP will hit just as hard as Resistance, especially when people start downloading/uploading new levels in the hundreds of thousands/millions.
But Resistance 2 will be just as bad with its online co-op campaign and huge online.
The main point of a demo is to give people a sample of the game, and hopefully if they like what they played in the demo they go and purchase the game.
So how does it make sense to limit the demo to only a select number of people? how is that going to reach a wide range of potential buyers?
Sort of makes the point of a demo useless.
Also, doesn't say everyone buying Quore or pre-order will get it, it states "one of the lucky lucky people who got cho...
That a demo would only be available to certain people, not like its a beta.
Even if it is released to more people further down the road, that still sounds more like a beta than a demo!
why you have games like Uncharted or COD4 which only take up like 20mb!!
Uncharted has one load for the entire play session and cod4 loading isnt that long, and theres no pop-up or anything.
I guess depends how good the developer is?
WOW! This game looks like 10 X better than R1, them graphics are soo good for ingame cutscenes!
Cant wait for this game, day 1 for me aswell.
