i wasnt talking about Halo CE, that was a great game for the time and had alot of new things that seperated it from everything else.

Thats what im talking about, they need to start something fresh, a new franchise, the "Next Halo". Instead of 10 diff versions of what is basically the same game lol.

Like to see an entire new game/franchise and see how that turns out, prob be great aswell.
Would Naughty Dog still be as amazing without Uncharted now, if they kept making Crash Bandicoot games for ps3 lol, or Insomniac without Resistance.

They make good games, but are far from the best - in a number of ways, when compared.
If Halo was on PS3 aswell and wasnt a big exclusive with a gigantic budget for advertising etc and just another game releasing, i doubt it would have sold half of what it did, when compared to what is out there.
It prob would have just been another well-made shooter, and been forgotten when COD4 came out.
Ye they are advertising, ive seen more PS3 ads the past 2 weeks than i have EVER since its been launched lol.
The new ps3 logo still isnt used for multiplat games over here, so at the end of the ad the 360 logo is huge and the PS3 logo looks like a trademark sign or something its so small lol.
I like the "Whats New" section, used to annoy me when starting ps3 up and it loads up the theme for what game i had in the ps3 (usually loud theme!)
But the large fonts have to go, should just give us the option to increase/decrease font size.
Also, i dont like the way the background is blury when accessing some parts of PSN (except for accessing the profile).
I really wish they would make the notification look better than the dull/boring grey,...
ye new friends list will be welcomed, i would really love it if they re-designed the psn card but doubt it :(
Also, would be great to change the sign in Notification from that dull grey, maybe have it center bottom to aviod over-lap with that new status bar top right.
I always thought i would be great if the change in look to the notification bar due to themes stayed that way in game too. Also, a sound when you get a message would be good.
i dont care about cross-game invites.
I dont want cross-game chat, i want to be able to open chat with someone on my PSN friends list and have that chat remain open no matter what im doing - like listening to music or watching a movie or, yes, on a game. I dont just want it to work in a game.
Also, in-game soundtracks not a big deal, it would take double the time to pause the game, load in-game XMB, search for a song and select it, rather than just change it on my ip...
Heavenly Sword and Uncharted had really great soundtracks, Uncharted had a better soundtrack that most movies!
The music in Heavenly Sword made that game so much more epic/emotional too.
MGS4 was basically like a Blockbuster movie lol, amazing soundtrack, amazing action, amazing effects, amazing story and amazing gameplay.
ye i think the SP campaign is fantastic and epic, but not really a fan of the online :( - seems really laggy (not in terms of network connection but low frame rates and slow responding/clunky menus), if they fixed that issue and had light menus like COD4 for example, would be alot better. Not just the menus though, but like selecting things or other animations etc in K2 online seems really slow compared to other shooters like R2.
You can sort of tell which stories/Posts are fake and which are true.
Id say this was 98% True, it actually makes sense and really, is a logical explanation of why we dont have custom soundtracks & in-game chat, especially when Sony know how much it is wanted!
Really hope this company is called out, not sure if its EA but i could see them doing something like this, especially since their games are really badly made and prob go over the amount of resources availab...

When it doesn't feature in-built Wifi, Bluetooth, same hard drive storage (upgradable to like over 800gb on ps3!) not to mention a Bluray drive lol.

ye, i personally like the Spiderman font and think it suits my ps3, the chrome and classy font makes it look expensive and great to look at next to a good home cinema system.
I get the re-branding though, trying to get all the ps2 owners to upgrade.
I think the new logo looks boring in comparison really, i really like the "PS3" logo that was sort of still in the spiderman font but bigger and fatter, at the end of a few recent trailers, they should have stuc...
It sounds like the music is a little different too.
Hope This is the new Start up screen and not just for the Slim (which if the slim is on 3.0 like the "phat" ps3s i dont see why not.

EDIT: looks like that ps3 is running the older Firmware (not 3.0) yet it still has the new start up, maybe it is specific for the slim?
People say it's a desperate move because MS alway seems to have a 'need' to be cheaper than the ps3, as soon as the ps3 slim was rumoured with price cuts etc - which would make the consoles equal prices, there they go cutting in again to make sure they are cheaper.
The 360 doesn't outsell the ps3 at the old prices by that much worldwide, so I'm guessing MS doesn't want them
at equal pricing!

You can listen to in-game music from xmb in killzone 2 online.
It's not Sonys fault that Devs don't include in-game music, it's their choice and they choose not to, you should be mad at the devs not Sony.

I read on the guildwars2.com site that there will be different proffesions, maybe there will be no more eles or mes ? i sort of hope there isnt in a way because it will make it that much new and exciting.
OMG!! This looks SOOOO good!! The graphics look amazing with that incredible concept art. The story looks like its going to be great aswell, love the fact its all of tyria working together-including the Charr.

Really looks like Wii sale are startingto grind down! Well, until Nintendo drop the price that is, but I think may only help so much as alot of people realise the wii doesn't exactly have alot of amazing games, especially when compared to ps3.
