I sure hope you are right about Alan Wake 2 - I really could go for a new title with something a bit more substantial than American Nightmare.
I think it's a little early to underestimate Microsoft (or any publisher/developer at E3). It's entirely plausible that we could see some real surprises next week.
Having said that, I do believe Sony have done wonderful things in regards to PS3 exclusives, in recent years - Microsoft are lagging behind in that regard at the moment.
The problem is, that it's the fans who should be disappointed at this Collection most of all - In it's current state, it's a buggy mess that really stopped me enjoying a game that I was rather excited about.
Surely fans of the series will already have these games on their original consoles - So why bother releasing an up-res version of it?
I think you may have taken my "aged" comments the wrong way - I meant in regards to the game's ...
We don't have any details on the retail prices, but it appears boxed games are going to be between £4.99-£40
There is a lot more to it than sniping - Pistols and other weapons are used for more close-ranged combat. Sneaking around is also a big part of the game, but the main focus is definitely sniping - But that's what makes the game so unique.
After seeing the game, I must admit I'm very interested (and I usually dislike military-themed shooters).
Keep an eye on GodisaGeek.com over the next couple of days for some more information about the game :)
Making these GOTY lists is difficult, especially when some of the bigger games aren't released until late in the year - A game as large and as time-consuming as Skyrim might not make the cut, simply because no-one has had enough time with the game to make a judgement.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to play every game out there - Considering the large quantity of quality titles released in 2011, a few favourites are bound to be lost in the pile; which is unfortunate, but a good indication of how great gaming is right now - We've never had it so good.
I'll definitely be picking this up at some point :)
It is certainly one of the most quirky Western titles to come out in a while - I couldn't stop smiling throughout my session with the game :)
I already played Little Deviants at Eurogamer Expo, back in September. Consider it the Wii Sports of the PlayStation Vita - A game that does really well to convey the system's concepts to newcomers, but is not a game that will keep you glued to the Vita for any length of time.
I do apologise for the omission of Gravity Daze - I heard a lot of good things about it; unfortunately there were too many games, too few demo units shared between a lot of people, and not enough time to play everything.
I really was really impressed with the games I got to play around with. Some fantastic concepts - Some married to excellent games, others not so much; but they all point to a fantastic future for the PlayStation Vita.
Really surprised at Saint's Row debuting at #4 - Well deserved though, because that game is ace :)
You Sir, have been missing out for too long - Luckily for you, it is never too later to get involved with the Zelda series.
May I suggest you grab A Link To The Past on the Wii's Virtual Console?
I'm currently waiting for my copy of Skyward Sword to arrive, and it is unbearable. To me, the release of a new console Zelda is unlike any other experience in gaming, in terms of anticipation.
An interesting idea for sure,I'll be looking forward to seeing if Ubisoft can successfully pull it off in a way that makes sense for the series.
Great review, I've never played any of the Unchartered titles, all the positive reviews for this third entry make me want to try the first one and give the series a go!
There is more to life than Metacritic - If a game is good then it will be remembered by the people who played it; not by an average of the scores it was given by critics.
This game cannot find it's way into my collection soon enough!
