@edgeofsins ohh well you don't mean at all a gameplay trailer of the game that was shown in 2011?

This should be more then enough to convince you to keep your eyes on this title, I trust Nomura after all.

You would actually be surprised in Japanese games Menu's are in English however all other forms of text such as in story mode, victory quotes, or move lists use some form of Japanese scripting: Kanji, Hiraganan or Katakana (Persona 4 Arena being an exception since I believe the JPN copy has the option for English text like Arc System Works Previous Fightning Games Blazblue series)

And what better example of what I mean then the Persona 4 Arena Main Menu :D

The region locking is more for their own home territory since a brand new copy of P4A in Japan is $90 where someone can wait in Japan for literally 12 days for the U.S. version where they can import it for $30 cheaper.

The region locking probably wouldn't of come up if the release for the U.S. and EU versions weren't so close to the Japan release date.

Not to say the game itself will be bad or anything, I personally think it would be better off as its own IP.

The same goes for Castlevania: Lords of Shadows a good game but the way it plays and the way it feels does not feel like the other games in the franchise (Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness felt more like Castlevania).

The people that bought the previous DMC games liked Japanese tastes, what happens to the next iteration of games if you introduc...

It rather is even though this is an extreme case where Tecmo didn't let the franchise leave the japanese company, capcom did. People also need to realize especially the headline for the article most of the true DMC fans don't give a shit about the hair (at least anymore) its now more or less everything else about the game.

Plus Tameem has been a real prick in disrespecting not only what the original DMC developers had in mind for previous iterations but Japanese cultu...

The main Yakuza games sell like Hotcakes in Japan, I'm sure they don't have much to worry about.

Might want to reread the article mate, it says both games are being developed by MercurySteam.

Apparently Konami doesn't have much faith in Koji Igarashi. Which is a shame....

Aren't you forgetting about Anarchy Reigns?

5024d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Kojima has already stated to be patient for a stealth based MGS. Rising is not the future of MGS its a freaking Spinoff I don't know why the heck people haven't gotten that fact stamp on their foreheads yet! Kojima even confirmed this!

Agree besides when it comes to Japanese as a culture Ninja Theory just keeps talking sh!t about it and besides I doubt they would study Japanese mythology.

The thing that's really biting at the fans (the true fans) is now all past installments are null and void, if I was to make it an analogy for you Capcom took the past Devil May Cry games that we loved and got us to buy their games and swept them under a rug never to see the light of day.

Essentially it's now a big F' you, the Devil May Cry Universe you know is now nonexistant; so eliminate possibility for a sequel to DMC2, eliminate explanation of Nero's demon...

I'm just saying man if I hear HD collection I expect HD (Games are great though), I mean hell with the MGS HD Collection did you hear how often Kojima commented about the options for the cutscenes?

I myself won't be getting this cause, I still have the 5th Anniversary Collection that got into the series in the first place (Plus a 60 GB PS3).

As an answer to why it's not being done on the MT Framework engine bare in mind Ninja Theory is developing this game not Capcom, all Capcom has to do is give them funding (They say they have some creative control but I haven't seen any evidence of it).

As for the reason why Ninja Theory isn't using the MT Framework engine this is because they didn't want to take a year to learn how to use that engine while the company itself was familiar in using the Unreal En...

Agree with you one hundred percent.

I got to also say the Dante that I know barely if not at all used any cuss words. I'm not saying I'm above it or anything, I'm just saying it's way to easy to use swear words for a script.

I really and I mean I really miss this Dante:

Were these guys not aware all menu's and cinematics were at 4:3 aspect ratio while the gameplay was at 16:9?

I liked the first Ac!d for the story of the game mostly, it did suffer from horrible framerate issues with the blood in the game.

Though this was remedied in the sequel by taking the blood out (I also like the cell shaded style graphics in that game).

Either way I personally love both of them and would recommend either one for any PSP owner.

They did develop Madworld however SEGA never published the game in Japan it was published by a company called Spike which has published other ultra violent games in Japan. Even though it was actually published it got slapped with the CERO Z rating which is the equivalence of an AO for the ESRB.

So Without Spike, Madworld would of never gotten a JPN release. In fact during development PG wasn't sure if they were gonna release the game in JPN. With them saying, "In cer...
