Haven't we all given up on movie games?
Where ever they place in sales is irrelevant, everything they do is in one of four themes. They are lacking in ingenuity. The quality of the games is high but lets be real. Nintendo fanboys are a zealous lot but how many 2-D mario themed platformers are they going to make?
Nintendo is going to ride the nostalgia train until it derails. Been saying this for years they have a lot in common with Activision same thing every year but they sell millions.
Nostalgia is a powerful drug.

I have a feeling that Darksiders will get picked up. It sold well but THQ was in murky waters.
The fascination about women gamers is beyond me.
In the west they will just go after Christianity because its an easy target. If a game were to praise Christianity a lot of media outlets would boo this game. They won't touch Islam because everyone is terrified of offending them. I doubt gaming narrative will ever be as deep as film or literature because its interactive and you need lots of story breaking action or the toy will be boring and it won't sell.
There is alot of strange disdain about this game.

The perpetual company man drops another sound bite.
This would bitterly divide the nintendo fanboys.
It would help sell games, have a good title that is basically a fresh IP but with a known name. I think we all just want good engaging games regardless of how they come about.
