The reason why it is called football because way back in the day, the majority of the points were actually gained during the field goal (which is kicked). It changed over the years so now field goals are only worth 1 point (extra points at least) but the name stayed the same.

I dont even know why people are complaining, all it means for everyone (ps3, 360, and pc) is that the game is very big.. the only people who should be complaining are the 360 camp, but I dont understand why people would even complain still. I mean would you really want less of a game just to not have to worry about switching discs? it takes about 10 seconds to do. I think its a pretty fair trade.
