You read that MGS is a good game but it isn't a game of the year contender for me as it is boring and repetitive at points. I will get disagrees because there is so many MGS fan boys on this site as shown from reading the comments sections of every MGS article who are saying it's GOTY before even playing the game...
You say that but all I've been seeing recently is MGSV GOTY in the comments... Fallout 4 still isn't out and people have barely even started MGS before saying it's GOTY. Personally think MGS will be lucky to win vs Witcher 3, Bloodborne and Fallout 4(If it's good).
I've had MGS V since Friday and personally believe it's not even a contender for GOTY it's a bit repetitive and boring at points for my liking. The game is good but it's not the 10/1...
Think some people just wanna put this game down because it was out the same day as a very popular game. Mad Max is a very good game, not the best but it's certainly worth playing.
No it didn't. There is already 2 games out that are better this year. Bloodborne and Witcher 3. MGS is good but it isn't a GOTY contender for me it's just boring at points.
don't bother the menus are very slow after going online.
even if you do log in all the menus are extremely slow so i wouldn't bother.
4 was very good just ignore the haters it has probably the best story of them, people just hate on it coz the MP wasn't what they were expecting.

it depends on where you pre order from as well i know a few that send games as soon as they get stock in which can be a week earlier in some cases.
right coz standing 20 ft away from the boss is hard to do... There is a reason they nerfed it.
Magic was cheap ass way of playing the game.
He's kind of right as they tried to change/innovate with Gears 2 and it back fired completely as that game was a complete let down from the first one. But then again New IP's tend to be more innovative than series games.
7.5 isn't a bad score...
it will be better when it's out as a quick google search will find the answer but at the moment i have to spend a few hours just trying to find out how/where to do the side objective lol.
have to downgrade it to lock it. From what I've seen there is nothing to complain about it's a story driven game with majority of time played cut scenes. Watched a few people stream and they only seem to notice frame drops a few times, also the game is so slow that it's harder to notice compared to a fast paced racer or shooter. Doesn't seem to be a game breaker so it shouldn't impact on the experience.
I'm enjoying it as well although one thing is really annoying me is the side objectives for the missions have no information to them and you basically have to luck out to complete them all.
Other than that it's a great game but not in a "Different league" like some people seem to be saying without playing it.
it's not one person though, all you have to do is search around for people's impressions on the game and they all say the game is poor compared to what they were expecting. Rather than an MMO sort of game most people thought we were getting has turned into a glorified co-op game...
It's sad to see as this game looked incredible but they seem to be turning further away from what they first showed. Ubisoft are running a thin line atm as any more mess ups and they ar...

side missions on MGS are probably it's worst part... They are repetitive fetch quests which i'm sorry but that's just bad, other games get ripped apart for fetch quests yet MGS doesn't? It's one of the reasons i think Witcher 3 is better as it's side quests are the best I've seen in an RPG with exception to Fallout and ES games. I've also seen people saying MGSV is the best looking game they've played which i'm sorry that's utter BS.
