Actually, Yes. And excuse me, I probably should have been more clear for those of you not in the loop, but I'm speaking of fanboy land and some bias news outlets(I semi-count N4G, but top stories are fan controlled...so that's the sony and pc fanboys making it bias). Not actual reality where two developers simply hit some snags and anyone that complains is a crybaby with no patience.
DriveClub: "So what? They're fixing it, it's a great game anyway!"
MCC: "How dare they release a broken game! This is unacceptable! How can anyone support these practices?!?"
Oh, the hipocricy. Seen it with TR vs SF, DC vs MCC, what's next for people to make a big deal about on Xbox, but make excuses and accept on PS?
There's that good ole American spirit. "Bigger numbers mean we kicked your ass! Woo!". Lets just forget about it not actually being a competition and good sales are good. There is no real "winner" unless you're an obsessive fanboy.
More likely is testing went so well they took it underground, and perfected a form of mind control to use on it's customers. It would explain the huge spike in obsessively loyal sony drones over the past couple years. This is the next step where they start to self-medicate with Sony brand pills, and the company gains complete control of each host.
How do you know you love it? Have you played it? No? Then that makes you either a liar...or a fanboy that likes games based on their title, not the actual finished product. That's like saying "I love Tool's new album!". I love Tool, but the next one could be crap for all anyone knows until it is experienced. So which is it? Liar or Fanboy?
No, an uncharted shirt doesn't make you a fanboy. An advertisement shirt for a game that's not due for at least a year yet does. Play the game, then wear the shirt for the game because you played the game. Wearing shirts for unreleased things is beyond lame.
As a lover of geeky media shirts that display a lot of awesome stuff....anyone wearing this is a certified fanboy. Might as well get an Xbox or Playstation shirt too. -_-
@Arnon WRONG. Sony dropped the price of PS4 by $100, exactly like MS has done, by cancelling the advertised main bundle that includes the ps camera. Only they did it very close to launch so they could come out "cheaper", since kinect was part of the main bundle and was also taken out for a kinectless bundle. Only difference is Xbox still offers that bundle WITH the peripheral. Sony doesn't. SO the only thing that makes a difference this holiday between them is that $50 limited...
RIP Prey 2, all my hope to BG&E2.
They are both getting paid to not make a game for another system, regardless of specifics that still leaves people out. Both of these deals have similar effect, yet get completely different responses. It likely comes down to the sony fanbase crying louder when losing something a lot of them like. Not surprising being Sony is the company who has done deals like that the most of any other over the last 20 years. They're more used to getting than losing since they are deathly loyal. The diff...
Titanfall, Killzone, all of the sports games, assassin's creed, etc etc. Lots of games are overhyped compared to what people get, especially overhyping themselves. This will be one of those, though the hardcore fanboys would eat poop and smile if their master fed it to them.
Sony is going to get it's fanbase hooked on pills. Awesome.
Sounds like quality there.
More and more that extra "50% Moar Powah!" is looking more and more ridiculous. Parity is your inevitable future!
Kerfuffle is right.
The answer is No. It will be another in many cases of pure overhype.
Not as big a deal as Tomb Raider was. They got death threats because "TR's true and original home is Playstation, and that was ripped away by greedy moneyhatting MS!". SF leaves Xbox? Eh, no big loss. lel
If Phil was smart he'd put together remasters of the first two and put them with a new one. BAM Monies.
With subtitles and english dub so the two up there can stop fighting.
Oh, sorry. It looked like one. My bad. Screw this, I want a new Destroy All Monsters.
I'd bet anything that RDR is a prequel to the GTA series and eventually a game will bridge the gap. RDR2 maybe.
