When you shrink the die, you cut the cost and power consumption while increasing efficiency. That's what Intel has been doing for years!

I don't care if there's some difference between PS3 and Xbox 360. All I care is: 1. does it look good? 2. does it run smooth? Rest is not important. Whether PS3 looks better or Xbox looks better, I'm beyond that.
I've been playing games on PC for many years. I don't have a gaming rig, just a good laptop. And it can be a pain when some new and fancy game comes out and it's just out of reach for my machine.

When I go on holidays (snowboarding for instance!), I usually bring my laptop with me. It's fun to spend a day on the mountain, come back, eat something, play a quick round with my friends (who also bring their laptops) and then hit the town. Nice way to relax, with a mug of hot coffe and a good game to play; what can be better after long day in the cold?

You don't have to boycott it for too long - Activision has a lot riding on MW2. They delayed few games, there's big hype. Let's say people decide to buy it 3 months after release; what would happen? As soon as the word would spread that MW2 doesn't sell, the stock price would plummet and someone (the idiot CEO Kotik who can't keep his mouth shut) would have to take the fall.
It's all publicity stunt. Carmack makes a controversial statement, either against Xbox saying that BR is better or against PS3 claiming Xbox is faster and then everyone talks about it. Flame wars RAGE over the interwebs ;-)

From what I've seen, Dragon Age universe it not as cool as Baldur's Gate.
They call it dark fantasy and it looks like M rated Tolkien, which is all good and fine. But BG was dark and twisted with powerful mages performing bizzare experiments in their steampunk looking labs. Add to that mind flayers / beholders which aren't simply fancy looking 'demons' and the whole thing about planes of existence (Planar Sphere anyone?). I think it was WAY more interesting than 'dark fantasy'. ...
I don't like the look, but we'll see how it works. The effects are too flashy and gore is to over-the-top-cartoonish. Like the exploding palm thingy. They just explode like baloons filled with blood. Looks rather stupid.
That said, monk looks interesting and I might pick this game up.
