But U2 HAS a couple of flaws but the initial WOW let's you forget those and just sit back and enjoy the game.
The atmosphere is just incredible, day 1.
Trophies/Achievements made games more 'usefull'. It's a little thing but it helps alot in playing games longer.
You can't sit back and develop for 5 years straight to get a full game as a company. Only 1st party studio's do that sometimes.

There is a point were so much space isn't needed for just game data but for streaming too, that's why the PS3 has a advantage when it only needs to stream data. Everything that normally would be packaged in the ram can be directly streamed to the VRAM and SPU's.
Yeah if they wanna sell more units...
