They lost marketshare to Sony and Nintendo. They sold 20% less consoles then last year. Not 1 or 2%. We are talking of less milions and millions of customers. Disrupting? not really...
Hardware sales. Thats the main problem. Gamers arent buying more and year after year it descrease and now it was 20% less then last year... Services dont incresase sales. Thats why game revenue decrease.
Sorry, but it wont. No they havent. Games and movies have broken records in sales. And the report from Microsoft show that less 1% gaming revenue is much more then 2%+ of services. Less 20% consoles sold from last year. Its just very, very bad. Services didnt increase the sale of consoles or the sale of games. People arent buying more games, like some were saying. They rent them and its over. Dont buy them after.

For me gamepass would be a smart idea if didnt had triple AAA games Day One. There no spin there. Its like the next Avenger, Spiderman or any big blockbuster movie going day one for DVD market... Gamepass will never make the same amount of money that a big blockbuster game does. It doesnt sell consoles, the numbers show that less 20% from last year, that already was very bad. It doesnt give more marketshare. Thats the reality.

its a game for the PC crowd. It was smart move from Microsoft. This kind of games on consoles are niche, but on PC are much, much bigger.
