That's the sweet spot in competition. Those who check the quality of their products will get the consumers. Those who create lower rate products, especially in some instances where the successor is WORSE, they shouldn't even be contending.

your logic is flawed. The way at which content is transferred stays the same, ex. via USB drive, USB HDD, or Microsoft's custom memory units. However, your talking about exactly WHAT type of content a user would be transferring, which would have the same effects on any computer had it been transferred in any way, this includes Microsoft's custom memory units.
And by the way, the 360 and the PS3 can't get viruses, they can't be hacked. Who the hell writes viruses for gaming consol...
