My definition of an "anticipated" game is something the public doesn't know much of or hasnt seen much of. Uncharted, gears and Killzone are games we have seen gameplay from and know what to expect. A really good example of an anticipated game would be Last Guardian.

Oh please come on, i am one of the biggest hockey fans around and unless you are super rich or have a job in the business this is a waste of money. You can always find any sporting even on the 'internet' for free.
I disagree with 'your opinion'. Naming any games ___ of the year is quite premature.
From what i have 'seen' from Uncharted 3 and Gears 2 (Both TPS's) they will both be amazing games. I 'personally' believe from my past experiences with both games that if you were to decide a TPS GOTY from history you would go with Uncharted. It has a better track record.
Im not even going to start with forza, Gran Turismo based on factual evidence...

the gap between the ps3 and 360 in "USA" (just USA) has gotten bigger since last year from what i can remember. But world wide is totally different story. Wii sales are going down, and ds remains constant.

Great game and all but seriously? How is this news? Someone just went on amazon and found the game and reported it has increased on pre order charts JUST for amazon and is now ranked no. 257??? Wow seriously.
This game will be amazing, i just hope that people mostly the casual market buys this game. It would be a shame if the sales didnt reflect how amazing this game is.

PC gaming is prone to everything that this guy is complaining about, cheating and glitching? I'll find you 500 PC games that are not call of duty related that have those problems. Maps might be an issue but thats a personal opinion and i will respect it. Balancing? I think the game is balanced its not like people can have specific weapons for one team. Everyone has the opportunity to use the same weapon and class setup. Regardless, i dont care about other people's hatred towards black...
If more people played COD4 on PS3 i would still play that game, i have owned COD 2, MW2 and Black Ops and played WaW and COD 4 is by far the best game of the series. Black Ops is a close second when it works. MW2 although it was a good game is broken and has not and will not be fixed.
It might be worth it, but thats not the point, majority of people have finally adopted HD. Its going to be hard to move to 3d. I think it came to fast.
Ok, ill get a bunch of disagrees for saying this, but i had a chance to play the beta at my friends house a few days back, because he hasnt deleted it yet, but i have to say, the controls are improved BUT, its still a struggle for me to kill at far distances and aim properly. This is not a fault of the games but of mine because i am so used to cod arcade feeling. Im going to give it a real shot when it comes out though.

Every game requires some skill, holding a controller and moving your thumb around requires skill forget the game itself. Sometimes people here... shessh, you think that just because its fashionable here on N4G to hate Call OF duty you can make dumb commments like that and expect people to agree with you? Come on.
this is too funny, obviously if you call sony and ask them "should i mod my console?" or "what will happen if i mod my console?" they are going to scare the crap out of you to deter you from doing it.
Regardless, calling a customer service rep asking him how sony bans you is a waste of time, they dont know and they aren't going to be able to help you.
