@Mr
**"Again let’s keep in mind this info based on outdated information"**
Not sure why people are running with this narrative.
The Oberon and Arden benchmark testing took place June / July this year, The leaked documents were first discovered on GitHub mid August, the final data was collected mid November.
@Ziggurcat
**"Why would the PS5 be the "exact same specifications" as the current PS4 Pro?"**
My goodness, you are literally PROVING that you either haven't even looked at the information, or that you cannot understand it.
Read the article, watch the video or simply read the full paragraph that the quote you posted is taken from. The answer to your question is hardware back compatibility baked into the unit, reve...
@Ziggurcat
"No. It isn't. 2-year old information isn't accurate"
The testing for OBERON was conducted July this year, you're looking at the wrong leak.
**"No. They aren't."**
Two of the world's most accurate and respected hardware data miners called out by Ziggurat on N4G. Lol.
**"They said they couldn't make heads or tails out of the information"...
@Claud
It's not 9.5.
ABSOLUTE best case scenario is 9.2, show me the math that equates to 9.5, I'll be waiting.
@Sokol
**"15% power difference isn't going to make PS5 a problem"**
25%
9 vs 12 is a 25% difference, not 15%.
@IRetro
**"also digital foundry didnt confirm anything"***
Digital Foundry
"So how can we be confident that this processor is actually a semi-custom AMD product for Sony and not another partner like Microsoft? The giveaway is the fact that the GPU can be switched to three different modes in order to provide hardware backwards compatibility with PS4 and PS4 Pro. While a 2.0GHz GPU clock is used for what is described as the...

**"If you have an issue with that fail just talk to the moderator who failed it. It clearly states why the article was failed so you can make a rebuttal against that"**
Dude, You're the one bringing it up in every comment board on the site not me, you started this line of conversation right here on this thread, for some reason you keep mentioning my name - don't be shocked when that p*sses me off and I respond.
...
@Master
*"But the article was failed because the source of the rumors were still anonymous which is against this sites rules. Also the moderator didn't find Digital Foundry's article conclusive so it was failed for that as well"*
Failed on N4G or not, the information is accurate. The sources were not "anonymous" and they are very, very credible. Just because this was not recognised here, don't fool yourself into thinking th...
@Master
**"Why don't we submit an article where they discuss the specifications that are confirmed by both manufacturers?**
I'm not sure what your issue is bro, maybe you could explain?
Like I said, let's wait three months (in Feb when specs are revealed) and we can discuss further.
In the interim I'll bookmark this page so we don't forget what was said.
Very sad.
@Christopher
**"Eh, that's not at all what DF did. They themselves say their info lacked context almost entirely and was just some info they heard without specifics as to its meaning or even relevance to final specs"**
Fair enough Chris I'm not going to argue. Bookmark this page and we can discuss again in three months time when we have more visibility on the final specs.
Right or wrong, all signs point to a very excit...
@Muzikguy
**"I'd love to show you the report that says not credible from 2 hours ago"**
Fair enough, bookmark that page, we'll discuss again in three months time ;)
@Wood
I stopped reading at "shilling" bro, it's the cheapest form of argument.
Your opinions are not really worth my time, no offence.
PS - Wall of text, try pressing the return key every now and again.
@Master
**"There is ray-tracing acceleration in the GPU hardware,” Cerny told Wired"**
There is,
It's being used to render RT based 3D audio. Cerny said that as well, same interview
@Master
**"What I don't understand with these rumors is the claim that the PS5 will lack hardware based Ray Tracing That contradicts what Cerny said about the system"**
I'm pretty sure we discussed this subject earlier today mate. The info comes from a leaked AMD datasheet - only AMD's implementation of hardware based RT present on the OBERON GPU would be tested, it's highly likely PS5 features separate silicone on the mainboard ...
@Froy
**"Ugh, the first 6 comments posted are spot on accurate on how it's been this whole generation with xbox"**
Spot on?
**"It was definitely a rollercoaster. One of those crappy ones you make in Rollercoaster Tycoon that just goes straight into the ground and explodes. Microsoft gave up in 2010 and has yet to actually try again decade later"**
...Some would say antagonising
@Gangsta
Looks a lot like a post I made earlier today,
Lockhart 4TF RDNA $299
PS5 9.2TF RDNA $399
Series X 12TF RDNA $499
Took a lot of heat over that this morning, I guess we'll see, personally I find the idea of a 9.2TF PS5 a bargain at $399, especially considering the Ryzen CPU and super fast SSD tech.

@Ratchet
**"You're a troll and a hypocrite"**
Bit harsh mate, If Sony put out a 9.2TF machine with a Ryzen CPU and next gen solid state storage at $399 I'll be the first in line to buy it.
@Ziggurcat
**"it still doesn't indicate the actual specs - all you're showing is that it's HW BC, and I can't read an article if all you're doing is copy/pasting the same cherry-picked paragraph with no links"**
You definitely haven't looked into this Zigg, you can find the article @Digital Foundry, linked at IGN as well as on many other high profile gaming news sites.
Specs confirmed in the data sets. ...
