Sony has gotten better at keeping their games out of the hands of fanboy reviewers looking to just trash another PS3 exclusive.
It's going to be very tough to for anyone to give the game anything but close to near perfect scores from what we know of the features, the graphics, the reactions from people who have played it.
With the PS3 selling significantly more software in 2010, the millions and millions of duplicate 360s from the RRoD and other hardware problems that have plagued the system, and Microsoft still inflating their sales numbers by reporting shipment totals instead of actual sales like Nintendo and Sony do, it should be obvious that it already is ahead of the 360 in worldwide installed base.
Xbox box fan sites like vgchartz will stretch things out for as long as they can to avoid...

Not to mention the Wii has none of the major problems Kinect has with needing to have a huge open area to work, or the lag and tracking problems all the game sites keep reporting.
There really is no doubt. Being effectively dead in Japan and everywhere in Europe other than the UK pretty much makes it inevitable that Microsoft would end up in last place.
It just isn't rational to think that somehow Kinect is going to keep the Xbox 360 out of last place. It's initial sales aren't remotely close to what the Wii experienced and the Wii sold amazingly well in all three regions.
Just a year ago it seemed like the Wii was going to easily outsell the PS2, but now I am starting to wonder if it will even make it to 100 million before Nintendo comes out with something new.
The PS3 is outselling the Wii 2 to 1 in Japan now. Although the Wii is still a bit ahead in total sales for 2010 it is clearly rapidly declining.
